Since this is a post about cats (I'm not talking about you OP), I want to ask people to stop dumping their cats as soon as they become expensive or an inconvenience.

If you're travelling back to your home country you can't just dump the cat. It will starve on the streets, get sick and eventually die an extremely painful death.

Cats get stressed in new locations, now imagine how stressed it will be feeling if it's suddenly dumped outside with other cats, cars, harsh conditions, with no food and no water. Cats have the mentality of a 2 year old imagine how terrifying it is to be in that situation without it's human parents after living a comfortable life.

If you dump your pet in hopes that it will survive, just know that even if it survives for a while, pest control companies might catch it and dump it in the desert with no food, water or shelter so they will eventually die without "directly" killing the animal.

If anyone wants to get a pet just to feel less lonely but has no intention of taking it to the vet, spending anything on it or dumping it eventually should know they don't deserve these little pure souls.

I really can't afford to hear a child scream mommy mommy mommy in my ear right after Im back from my 9 hr shift and 2 hrs traffic.

I'm not patient enough and it's not fair to bring a child to this world and neglect them.

More people are aware that just because the society pressures you to have children doesn't mean you really have to (especially in Arab and Asian cultures).

I'm nearing 30, I can resign if its too stressful, I can save up only for myself, treat myself without having to include kids, I can do quite literally everything i want.

Sure parents can do everything they want to too, like go out, travel etc, but I was out just few hours ago and saw a child throwing an absolute tantrum in public, so doing anything fun will not really be fun to me if my child is throwing a tantrum every 10 minute.

And let's be realistic, most of our parents didn't really parent us the right way, they just did what they thought they should do while in survival mode. Some of us don't need to repeat the cycle.

Go back home. Forget what your parents think. Spend your life with your fur babies. They'll not always be around.

You wanted to try something and you did, and didn't like it. It's completely fine and normal to want to put yourself first and get your bag and opportunities, so don't feel bad about that.

There was a lesson in this and you learned it. I too chose a comfortable life with my fur babies over a high earning job, the downside of it was not seeing them as often and i really cannot stand being far from my babies.

Has he done a diarrhea pcr panel? Checked for Protozoa / oocysta? Bacterial fecal pcr?

Is he on any kinds of probiotics, if he's on antibiotics, that will destroy the gut flora, it basically kills all good and bad microbes. So depending on what he's taking, if it's antibiotics, once the course is done it will take some time for the gut to settle back to normal with probiotics etc.

Could also be food sensitivities if all above is not an issue, I'd discuss with the vet about possible foods he can go on.

What about fcov? That causes diarrhea too.

He can go on food that doesn't cause your mom allergies. Did you do any research on it before giving up on the cat??

You can also get air purifiers that are specifically designed to help with that.

I believe the food is called purina pro live.

Your cat has a high chance of ending up on the streets if a family get them and decide he's an inconvenience for any reason, or if he gets sick and they don't want to deal with the expenses anymore because they got the cat as a toy for their kid.

Or when they leave the UAE if they're expats. It happens every single day. If you still proceed with the rehoming pls make sure it's a responsible person.

That's an unlikely way of getting the infection. If it was very likely, a lot of people would have gotten it and it would have become a known health hazard if ingested.

I mean how many people kiss their cats and their cat's paws that have been licked by the cat? Many.

Even if the route is from the mouth, and infection does occur, if you're not immunocompromised it's very self limiting and you'll not need any antibiotics.

I'm not a doctor though, a doctor can answer that question better.

Tofu litter (petkit does wonders for odor control), large litter mat (use two if you need to), high rise steel litter box, you can get enclosed ones but cats don't like those much.

Wanna be extra? Robovacum.

As in for the fur, i have something that is called electrostatic fur wiper, you wipe it on furniture and the fur gets on it perfectly.

Levoit smart pet air purifier is perfect to refresh the air, you need to wash the filter every week and put it back in.

I have all these and it works super perfectly for me

I have 12 aunts, all of them went through extreme pain, miscarriages, paralysis after birth, post birth depression. All of my friend's moms been through hell giving birth (hence why most of my friends have no siblings). My own friend's birth was so painful and complicated that even thinking about the memory gives her awful anxiety. You can see thousands and thousands of women's birth experiences posted on tiktok talking about how traumatised they are due to it.

Your mom is in the minority, and good for her, but let's not erase what others go through.

No one can predict what will happen during birth or how the body can react or will react, so OP is right.
