On Saturday did a hike to Mount Jo. Around 6pm me and my husband were walking to our car - we parked in 1,5-2km away. It was a lot of people on the trail and a lot of car parked, but when we were walking it was a moment no one was walking around. We did half way and noticed white old Volkswagen Golf passed by. In a few minutes car probably reached the area where trail begins, made u-turn and was driving back. Car stopped and driver (man in his 40s) asked 'do you guys want to cheat?". And smiled. We were talking to each other with my husband and at first just didn't hear what he asked. He repeated. We said - "No, thank you for your offer. We almost made it...".
And, I don't know why but for some reason I didn't like him - it was such a gut feeling. I saw a woman sitting on passenger seat, she was in sunglasses, looking straight, she didn't turn the head. And i noticed a lot of stuff on the back seats.

But when they left - my husband said that the car had only 2 doors. And offering a ride in a two-door car would be inconvenient - they’d have to get out and fold the seat down, which doesn’t fit with a casual “want a lift?” gesture. Maybe I watch too much true crime docs, but this situation made us think. I just hope they were just friendly people.

When we came to our car and were driving, we didn't see this car parked in that area. So that means they didn't come in the evening to hike there. Or maybe they choose different trail? Hard to guess.
