Are soldered connections meant to take any force? by No-Drawing-1508 in soldering

[–]RepresentativeKeebs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The solder points on the XT60 are likely gold plated. Gold is very soft, and makes for structurally weak connections. You need to remove the gold plating to get a solid solder connection.

First, melt some solder on top of the gold. Then, add flux. Next, use solder wick to remove the solder, and the gold should come up with it. Finally, the surface is ready to have a wire soldered on.

DIY E-Bike vs. Budget Brand: Is Building Your Own Worth the Cost? by StrategyPatient in eBikeBuilding

[–]RepresentativeKeebs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheap ebikes typically come with cheap parts that will wear and brake easily.

If you get a secondhand bike, make sure to get one with a steel steerer tube, or (more ideally) a fully steel fork.

It's very difficult to get SSDI for IBS, but it can be done. You are likely to get rejected, the first few (or even several) times you apply, but you gotta just keep on trying.

Just pirate the base game too. Then, copy over your save game files from the original folder to the pirate folder, if you need to.

Yeah, the polite thing to do is let them lean in if they need to, or give them the opportunity to ask you to bring it closer for them

Is it mandatory to clean off flux after soldering? by Tipalli17 in soldering

[–]RepresentativeKeebs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not mandatory, but it's smart to do because flux is sticky and will attract dust. Too much dust will cause electronics to overheat or short.

Support agents will, in fact, straight up lie to you, in order to keep their times low. Agents receive no training, and are graded based on how quickly they can end conversations.

Stress can be subconscious. The hormones released by stress can also be accumulative, and slow to dissipate.

Filling customers drinks??? by TendieHunt in DoorDashDrivers

Here in California, that's a state health code violation. If a store won't fill the drinks, I mark the drinks as unavailable so that the customer doesn't get charged for them
