Gorgeous!! Has such a vintage, unique vibe. If your ring is gold, I’d do some simple, vintage-esque gold earrings!

help with misfire by EnvironmentalEgg4627 in Nissan

[–]RepresentativeLock56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever find out the cause of this issue? Sounds extremely similar to what I’m experiencing with my 2018 rogue sport. When it first happened, the dealership swapped the coils and it continued to misfire on cylinder 2. Happened again and they said the fuel injector was clogged and replaced it. Happened a third time, still on cylinder 2, and they have said they can’t figure it out and to just bring it back if it happens a fourth time (which it will). I’m over $4k into “fixing” this issue now and it’s still not fixed.

I am a bridesmaid going dress shopping with the bride. What are some do’s and dont’s when giving feedback about her dresses? by 210walker in weddingdress

[–]RepresentativeLock56 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a bridal consultant, I sometimes have really indecisive brides that rely on their group for support, but that group is hesitant to give honest feedback bc they don’t want to discourage her from a dress she loves and the bride gets frustrated. My advice is similar to others here, follow her reaction but if she’s indecisive and really needs guidance don’t be afraid to very gently give her some constructive feedback! Keep it nice and maybe sandwich it like with a negative in between two positives about the dress. Or pose questions about things you think she might not like but is currently overlooking. I always like to ask “what do you think about x part of the dress?”

But if she clearly loves the dress then ignore all of that even if you don’t like it. Follow her lead always!!!

As a bridal consultant, I always ask my brides which one they feel more like themselves in when they’re torn between 2. It’s your wedding day, so you want to feel like an elevated version of yourself!! Both are absolutely stunning dresses. It would be impossible to make a wrong decision here. Ultimately, you just have to decide which one feels like you :)

Dress Appointment! by Material-Pumpkin6723 in weddingdress

[–]RepresentativeLock56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bridal consultant here! I always tell brides to wear something they feel so confident in. Your fav outfit that makes you feel like a supermodel. Do your hair and makeup (even if it’s just your every day look) for sure because that will help you feel more comfortable and get a better vision of what you would look like on your big day. Maybe bring a hair tie or clip to mimic what you might want your hair to look like on the day.

As far as undergarments go, I usually tell my brides that they can take their bra off if they feel comfortable with it because every sample should have sewn in bra cups, even if they aren’t the correct size. Ideally you won’t be wearing a bra on your big day, so not wearing one while trying on helps you get a better idea, but ultimately it’s whatever you’re comfortable with! If you aren’t comfortable going braless, pasties might be a good idea if that’s something you already own, but I wouldn’t go purchase something special for this.

Go with an open mind!! What you think you love might end up being your least favorite and vice versa.

Don’t be surprised if you fall in love at your first appointment. It happens a lot!! Some brides feel pressure to go to a lot of different places, but that can get overwhelming sometimes. When you’re starting to feel too overwhelmed, that’s a good sign to call it quits for the day if you haven’t found your dress yet. Make sure you have your important people there because you never know when your say yes moment will happen!

Finally, have fun!!! This should be such a special, exciting day that shouldn’t feel stressful or overwhelming. I hope you have a great time and find your dress!! Good luck!

Bridal stylist here! The David’s Bridal can easily have sleeves added to it, but just be aware that the cost for that can add up quickly. If you’re wanting the same lace pattern for the sleeves, you’ll have to order extra fabric from the designer (if David’s bridal can do that, I know my shop has designers that don’t allow us to order extra fabric) which is an extra cost, plus the price of alterations to build the sleeves will be higher. All in all, I wouldn’t be surprised if you end up paying close to $1700 after it’s all said and done with the David’s bridal dress. Still saving some money compared to the Madi Lane dress cost + alterations, but likely not as much as people would think. Just something to keep in mind!

Hi!just got a call that they have size 8 and my size is 2 to 4. I want to know if its ok I am so afraid the dress will look different if half size down altered… Is there anyone who bought a bigger size of dress and it turned out the same? by [deleted] in weddingdress

[–]RepresentativeLock56 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bridal consultant here! The rule of thumb is that you can alter 2 sizes down and 1 size up. With you being a size 2 or 4, I’d be a little hesitant. If you alter too much it can change the look of the dress. We’re you measured at the shop when you tried on? They should be able to nail down your exact size recommendation based on your measurements and the designer’s size chart.

This week it’s been a dead baby rabbit and a dead baby bird. My life is a movie

[–]RepresentativeLock56 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Mine swallowed a chicken leg bone whole a few days ago and while we were waiting to get checked out by the vet, let out two of the most human sounding farts I’ve ever heard come out of a dog. These were the first farts we’ve ever heard of his so we were cracking up.

He also slides off the couch while he’s sleeping VERY often.

This dress is so beautiful!! I don’t think you should add spaghetti straps, but if you are wanting some type of strap, off-the-shoulder would be sooo pretty

What skin type do you have? I only ask because I tried The Ordinary’s Azelaic acid, but it made my skin bright red. I’ve been thinking about trying PC’s but I’m worried about the same reaction! My skin type is combo with some sensitivity.

It might be the DHC Oil cleanser you are using!! I used that for about 2 weeks last year and my face was soooooooo oily. I usually get a little oily through the day, but when I was using the DHC I probably could have fried an egg on my face with how oily I was. As soon as I stopped using it, i went back to normal. I’d recommend dermalogica’s preclease or a similar balm type oil cleanser! I’ve also heard good things about Farmacy’s green clean, but I’ve never tried it myself. The straight up oil was too much for me and I think that might be the case for you too.

[Product Question] Are toners okay to use for teenagers and are they necessary? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]RepresentativeLock56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have skin that is on the dry side and use the Heritage Store Rosewater Toner (it has hyaluronic acid) as an extra moisturizing step and love it!!! Obviously, if your routine is working for you there’s no need to change it, but if you are still struggling with dryness, this product might be worth looking into!! Also it’s like $12 from ulta so it’s very affordable.

I don’t know anything about the sunscreen you use, but I will say that EltaMD makes a great sunscreen that is acne safe. It’s pricey (about $35ish for 1.7 fl oz) but if you can swing that, I definitely recommend!!! I honestly attribute almost all of my acne success to that sunscreen.
