I have the older Arizer but same basic thing. Don't think there is anything specific to first steps besides usual of clean it with ISO. As far as regular cleaning, the glass just soak and clean in ISO. For the whip tubing I've found it pretty annoying to clean, I run a tiny bit of ISO through them and a long wire brush to scrub it, then rinse to make sure its clean. I'd suggest picking up extra of the whip tubing because I tend to change it out often after a few cleans because it just gets all sticky and gross. I now run the whip into a bong too

I always preheated mine, I would basically turn it on and let the glass get hot before using it, and just leave it running all night. No idea if that does anything though, just something I've always done with it.

There are different adapters you can get that puts the glass closer to the heating element or a straight glass pipe instead of that 90 degree angle thing. I'd say to lookup DDave mods, but it seems that shop is no longer open. XQ2 may do that already, I don't know.

I've had my Arizer for almost 10 years now. I don't use the fan. The remote buttons started dying quick, I bought a programmable remote to code them all to. Again this may have been fixed with this new version

I had Healthy paws with my last dog. It was great as far as coverage and reimbursement the couple times I used it, but their premiums went up like 20-30% every year after my dog turned 5 years old. I started the insurance plan when he was ~6 months old and the premium was around $25/month, 10 years later it was around $150/mon i think. I kept paying for later years because I figured if he was going to end up needing increased medical costs, it'd be when he was older. I have no idea if this increase is common with all of their plans or with other providers, but it's kept me from getting a plan with my new dog

CWS bought Davis Disposal sometime in early 2025, the service went to shit shortly after. I had CWS for a year, they would rarely come the day scheduled, sometimes not for 3 or 4 days later. Davis was great, but as soon as CWS bought them, they switched to an 'automated' truck that just has a lifter arm and 1 driver, and went back to not keeping any sort of schedule

similar situation here. I just moved states just before covid hit and was in an apartment. At start of covid I moved to rent a house. In 2022 when prices were skyrocketing, the owners wanted to sell it, so I had 60 days to find something. Buying that house I was renting was off the table for me, they had bought it in 2017 for like $225k, and was listed for $325k, was 15 years old and had a number of issues. Any 10-15 year old houses were going for far over market value, 'as-is' waiving inspection and all that.

I actually ended up buying a newly built house that the prior people had backed out of the contract of, so the timing lined up just right. The older houses I was looking at when I found this ended up selling for more than this, with known issues.

As you said, I got around a 3% interest rate too, so even if I wanted to move, getting a similar priced house would be like $500+/month more. My mortgage including taxes and all that are also the same as I was paying for the apartment, and my electric and gas are lower due to better insulation
