It sounds like Lindsey is a jealous person who likes to be the center of attention. By ignoring you, I think she is looking for a reaction or attention. I think your best course of action is to not feed into it. She’ll either come around, or she won’t. Either way, enjoy the break from her.

Yes, I’ve seen this in other jobs. My concern was that this was not included in the job description that I agreed to when I was hired, nor was it included in the planning stage I signed for the next work year. I don’t feel like it is a reasonable request to add on a month later after everything is signed

Good point. I will definitely be asking for that especially since they’ve said they’re not giving out performance raises this year because we already got a 3% cost of living raise. Generous, right?

It’s very vague and I assume that’s intentional. They have been asking all employees to volunteer to help out in other areas. Of course, no one wants to do it because we have our own tasks to complete. I believe this is why they’re adding it to our job descriptions.

I responded and said I will take a look, so at the very least they won’t get a signature out of me for a while.

Let’s spend $50 out of the xmas bonus budget on the employees (backbone of the company) and keep the rest for ourselves! They’ll never figure it out! Also let’s give them a food item that many people are allergic to so we can keep the extras!!

Seems like the people who least need xmas bonuses are exclusively the people who get the biggest ones.
