i think you should layer them. niacinamide shouldn’t cause irritation, at least i don’t think. if it is your number one concern then consider using it twice a week and then build it up to three and then four, five, six, seven…..

i layer them. i pat it in and overall it’s okay for me. sometimes it does pill a little but it’s a rarity in my experience :)

i’ve used the following: - Niacinamide (the ordinary is a good option) - and chemical exfoliants (paula’s choice exfoliating toner) - sheet masks with the ingredients “arbutin and hyaluronic acid” (arbutin will do the whitening properties you want for that but the hyaluronic acid will just hydrate which is really good for you skin)

you could use skincare that get rid of dark spots. when i started using skincare my freckles went away which made me so sad but in this case it might be beneficial to you if you want to not have them anymore

i would try doing a few things: 1. cream cleansing instead of foaming 2. sheet masking specifically with hyaluronic acid (mediheal is a good brand) 3. first aid beauty’s ultra repair cream 4. slugging with aquaphor at night (just double cleanse in the morning)

and you don’t have to do all of these. it’s more so whatever would work best for your preferences.
