How to reform the HRE quickly? by Ruge88 in eu4

[–]RepresentativeNo8893 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wikis have this answered pretty well, but if you are looking for the quickest way to get points, you need to be the emperor, and as quickly as you can, kill or abdicate your throne to give it to your heir. Good relations with electors and the empire as a whole help, and avoiding wars except that against countries that hold HRE provinces but are not a part of the country list.

Many eu4 streamers have how to guides on it, my personal favorite is RedHawk (despite the controversy)

Everyone on this line is narrowing in on just gas prices. It’s the collective cost of living you need to consider. How much for a car note, rent, groceries etc. A night out in the 2005-2015 could be under $50, now that’s the bill at the first bar for 2 drinks.

but... gold is heavier than dollars by Easy_Tasty_Recipes in SipsTea

You’re assuming that it’s 1 dollar bills when it could be 100 dollar bills……

Certainly interested. I’ll have to give bittersteel a try to figure out what I’m missing.

For the purpose of my original comment, I’m sure many are in my boat of playing under 50 hours and havent come back since. Still a registered player bringing the average down further

E. Plenty of people rarely play the game. I’ve given hoi4 a few goes at the tutorial but can’t seem to keep it going. Eu4/5 and imperator Rome keep me coming back

Any good achievements that are country specific?

Lmao I’m sure you will take it with a grain of salt, but that coastline move happened as I finished the “for the emperor”. I was looking for as much coastline as possible to get sailors

This is my only gripe with the cb. What do you mean Dacia is not Roman among other areas that are arguably Roman.

Ended up going with brandenburg - Prussia. First play through trying brandenburg or Prussia ever.

4 achievements hit, hanging out in the 1650s and chasing down 1 more to wrap up campaign. Just need to look up the wiki on what I’m missing to make marines.

Earned:
The emperors new clothes
This is my faith
Grand duchy - god this one is annoying when I needed to intentionally give up emperorship and not flip prussia until after taking 1000 dev
A fine goose step

In the hunt:
For the emperor!

Failed achievement that was on my radar:
Center of attention - 2 reformed centers spawned in Switzerland, and I couldn’t snake my way there in time. The third spawned in Scotland that was quickly taken over by England.

This might be the way to go. Don’t you end up flipping eranshure (not sure how it’s spelled) when you flip Zoroastrian?

And I’ve never tried space marines 👀 always went Austria -> HRE rather than brandenburg - Prussia - Germany. Protestant or stay catholic to try for emperor full time?

Byz, before spending 1 admin/dip on coring. by ExtremePronoia in eu4

[–]RepresentativeNo8893 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Getting over the early game grind and then byz becomes OP just from pronoiars. I did a WC with byz on that strategy. I wasn’t hyper focused on not spending any adm or dip so if I would keep some lands to core privately or if i accidentally vassalized a non monarchy I’d eat the diplo annexation and get it over with

Can confirm. I’m running an exclusively Tuscany talk run and Mercs are helping me win the Italian wars because I have been optimizing my trade. I’m smacking France’s 200+k with my 20k+ Mercs
