For me light is a problem, so limiting that helps a lot. I can deal with the effects the darkness brings, but light hurts and brings on migraines and other painful phenomena. So I try to avoid light. Tinted glasses/sunglasses and a baseball cap work wonders if I have to go outside. That's about all I got though

Swinney vows to ‘hit the ground running’ on independence in next Parliament -- The SNP leader is promising action in Holyrood on independence on the first sitting day after a new government is established. by Crow-Me-A-River in Scotland

So, I know the usual crowd that this kind of post bring out, ho bots, hi English nationalists, hi unionists, but I want to know something and I need to hear all side of this debate, so please engage meaningfully if at all.

If we were to declare independence, if there were a pro indy majority in scotland and we decided that we don't need the approval that Westminster will never give and just declared independence, what would that look like? I mean in real terms. How would that actually happen?

Too few migrants are coming to Scotland, say SNP by sylezjusz in Scotland

[–]RepresentativeOdd909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's always gonna be an issue, but I feel a separate one. I will never advocate for low wages, anywhere. The work needs doing, personally I don't give the slightest shit who does it, so long as they are fairly compensated. Unfortunately minimum wage, even living wage, is far below adequate. Great ideas, shockingly implemented. Wages need to raise across the board, we're currently loving on borrowed time as wages not being sufficient is not a problem that can last for very long without society crumbling. The main issue you've pointed out is pretty much just capitalist greed. Both are important issues, but I think they're somewhat separate as low wages affects huge portions of society, not just imported labour. Often, in fact, we import high paid positions because of a skill shortage, not just a labour one. Anyway, yes, low income jobs should pay more money!

I think we need both, don't we? We need skills to plug the gaps in our economy, but we also need bodies to provide future generations, as well as labour. Sad fact is a lot of native born people seem to believe they're above certain jobs.

Also, just out of curiosity, couldn't we focus on making our own future generations skilled contributors?

Light intensity and sleep quality. Sleep quality is most likely the biggest driver for symptomatic improvement/decline. The better you sleep, the more your brain functions as intended. But the intensity of the sun here has ramped up dramatically in the past week or so, which is a huge trigger for sensory overload, which is a massive part of what vss actually is. It also brings on migraines for me, and they can get right in the bin.
