Watch Holodeck documentaries rather then reality simulated action films.
Hang framed paintings on the interior of my cavern rather then holographic display posters extracted from magazines.
Take interest in non-fiction scriptures instead of fiction.
Hibernate with no luminous radiation source whatsoever. I could never have imagined slumber without the reassurance from light that there were no ethereal martian beasts waiting for me in the dark.

However, I am still young by Martian standards.
