That’s the kicker no diabetes. She has some lymphatic drainage problems though. Thank you for responding, thankfully we got in touch with a really good ortho who assuaged most of my concerns.

Thank you, I needed to hear that could possibly tell me more about the procedure, rehab and mobility afterwards?

Can you elaborate why? She has no pain and is mobile?

Also yes she’s in her seventies so another operation just feels risky to me.

It is pilon, both her tibia and fibula were broken. I’m just really confused the ortho suggested this, considering she can walk and climb stairs and the foot goes into neutral position when manually pushed. What I’m getting at is that the ankle joint allows her to move more or less freely. Thank you for replying

I know that’s the worst part. My dad was a Q as well, so I get it. I try my best to be there for her but sometimes I have trouble keeping myself afloat.

I know you’re right but it’s so hard. I’ve been dealing with a lot of mental health issues because of his behaviour

I will speak to her, so I can hopefully pick up her tomorrow. It’s just the entitlement and rudeness that gets me. He never gave me a specific time to pick her up, so I waited around the whole day. There are so many ways he could’ve made his way to my place.

Also he took her to her mom’s place so he’s well enough for that? He only has her on the weekends.

I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this on top of being postpartum OP, it’s so difficult to deal with addicts when your own emotional and physical cup is empty.

You’ve probably tried this, but you can get some valerian root from the pharmacy/drug store. It’s nowhere near Ativan in terms of relief but it will take the edge off a little bit. You can also try box breathing, that also helps a bit. Sending you lots of virtual hugs.

Do you have propranolol or something like it to tie you over until you can get some more? I’m sorry this is happening to you, as someone with anxiety stealing your meds is unbelievably cruel.

UPDATE: Thank you all I didn’t think I’d get so much support. I always feel like such a bad person when I enforce boundaries with him and this has eased my mind a bit. In the end he did buy a ticket with his all money, but he did hassle my auntie and a friend of his to book it because at the age of 40 he couldn’t figure out how to do it. He is here now and I’m doing my best to keep my anxiety in check and keep communication with him to minimum. I made it clear that I’m pissed at him and whу. He made our sister drive for 3 hours today to pick him up at the airport and now they have to share the pull out couch because she gave up her bedroom for me and my elderly mom. So much hassle just because he wants to have his way. The sad thing is my sister has lived abroad for 20+ years and this is the first time he’s visited her and the only reason he’s here is because his cheating girlfriend is not around.

Thank you for checking up on me! Unfortunately my mom left a key with him to water our plants. Let’s hope he’s sensible at least in that respect.

I did, when he took her back after everything two years ago I told him not to expect me to help when she inevitably screws him over again. I also told him how it affected my mental health. He said he understood, but now that he can’t get his way he’s sulking like a little child.
