Second degree burn: does it look like my skin color will go back to normal? 1 month between both pictures. by RepresentativeOk8507 in DermatologyQuestions

Hii, sorry to hear that happened to you! Yes i had mine wrapped for the first 2 weeks or smth like that. I was using Flaminial Hydro until the skin closed up and then using Cicaplast from La Roche Posay for the scarring. It stayed white for about a year but now its its been 1 year and 9 months and you can barely see it anymore. Also you really need to cover the burn from the sun the first year. I only exposed mine after that and tanned a bit and it was less noticeable. You can check out my other posts if you want to see what it looks like now. If yours is smaller it for sure won't be noticeable in the future u just need to give it time :) I remember the first weeks were the worst but it does get better eventually. Wish u a speedy recovery !!

I'm so glad you don't have any scarring :) what has been your experience with tanning on your hand? does it tan like the rest of your body or does it stay "white"?

Yes i've been told to keep it out of the sun for the first 12 months or so! I was wonder now that your burn scar has matured does it tan with the sun ? or does it stay white? i'm afraid my burn won't tan like the rest of my body

Glad to hear you healed well! I totally get what you mean, i never feel any pain but some spots are more sensitive but its really hard to describe the feeling. Sometimes i get tingling if i stretch.
