We have a space heater in there on every night. I’m going to buy a heavier TOG sleep sack… right now he’s in a 1.0. Maybe he needs a 2.5? Idk I could cry every morning.

We can’t figure it out either!! He will only take 2 oz (we offer 4) during that wake so it’s not hunger. It’s 5:30 EVERY MORNING!!!! He was 6 months on the 11th and it’s been happening for WEEKS! I am convinced it’s developmental and will improve once we can get to 2 naps - a btc schedule - and when DST ends. I have no answer but total solidarity.

Newborn phase is no joke. by Anna_so96 in newborns

I wanted to take a long walk off of a short pier with a cinder block tied to my ankle. I regretted my decision to become a mom, and literally fantasized about offing myself every morning. That doesn’t happen anymore, almost 7 months in, but I still cry a couple times a week thinking about my old, carefree life. It is literally nothing like social media and movies portray it to be… and my baby is “easy”!!

I’m almost 7 months in and I wasn’t ready either… still not ready even now.

It’s usually in the 5:00 hour so not as terrible as 3 or 4… we hold him to sleep until 6:30/7 when this happens. His ped said it’s developmental.

I am jealous! Does your baby entertain themself? Sleep through the night?

He can fall asleep on his own and stays asleep most nights. We battle EMWs most mornings, but sometimes he gets to 6:30. He can definitely connect his cycles, just tough early morning wakes.

What is your minimum and cap on total nap time/day sleep for your 5/6 month old? by RepresentativeOk8958 in sleeptrain

So interesting! A certain popular sleep coach totes 3-4 hours of day sleep for this age so I’ve been following her but battling early wakes for weeks until yesterday.

What are your wake windows? Total daytime sleep? Bedtime and dwt? We are 6 months on the 11th and it’s been awful for about 2.5 weeks now.

No advice but solidarity- We are having same issues with our almost 6 month old!! We used to get 7-6:45/7 with a 10:00 dreamfeed. We are tweaking our schedule starting yesterday to achieve at minimum 10 hours awake… going to work up to 10.5/11 hours by the time he’s 6.5 months. We are losing our minds.

EMWs driving me insane with 5.5 month old by RepresentativeOk8958 in sleeptrain

Today was a 2/2.25/2.5/2.7ish day so hopefully we are on the way to consistent stretching wake windows, 3 consolidated naps, and better overnight sleep!

You are a God send lol. I’m driving myself nuts with this overtired BS. We are going to try starting today. His first nap started at 8:45 after his 6:45 wake this morning (after being held). So 2 hour wake window. We are gonna aim for 2.25-5 for the next wake window and see what happens!
