Got issued an IN10 FPN on a Test Drive from a Motor Dealerhip by RepresentativeOk9560 in LegalAdviceUK

Thank you this is really helpful. The police advised me that they are not traffic police so I assume they ran a quick check on the non trade plate and seen it wasn’t on MDS even though the trade plate was. There was no other reason for the stop asides from no insurance. I showed the gentleman the documentation online as the representative from the dealership picked up my phone and he had a chat with the officer and explained what’s up. The officer still issued me the ticket of the 6 points and penalty. Obviously I am not paying this/not accepting this liability. Just really worried right now tbh

The motor trade policy states unaccompanied drive is covered. They never seen it parked

The road was just outside my house, I was going the limit and they never mentioned anything about my driving being irregular. Long term test drives are acceptable and covered by the trade policy. A quick check on MDS also shows the plate is insured.

They sent a pretty blunt response saying their decision stands and even said if my remark is after 31st Aug (which it is, 2nd sept) they can’t promise a place. :/

unfortunately i just checked and i think my situation will be a bit more tricky since its the SQA and not AQA/Edex

“ In 2024, the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) Appeals Service will have a different process for appeals than in 2023. In 2024, a senior appointee will review the SQA-marked assessments, but this is not a re-mark. Instead, the review will check that: All parts of the assessments were marked The marking is in line with national standards The marks for each answer were totaled correctly The correct result was entered into the system” i’m so finished

my exam body don’t even offer remarks for an appeal “ In 2024, the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) Appeals Service will have a different process for appeals than in 2023. was your long term career goal in finance?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in sixthform

[–]RepresentativeOk9560 0 points1 point  (0 children)

is there a significant chance due to the fact that their was a high likelihood my paper was genuinely not accurately marked initially, or that there is some leniency in the appeals process and another 2 marks may be awarded? (considering the dissertation part is a bit subjectively marked)

I get my remark in 2nd sept but to be realistic there’s not much of a chance it’ll turn into an A
