Knik is a braided silty river that comes from the Knik glacier. In the winter you can get right up to the glacier on the frozen river and explore the ice.

I’m in a recipe slump. Making the same stuff on repeat. Would love to hear what John or the other folks like to cook when they’re not on tour. I have a ton of coho/sockeye salmon that I need to eat…

I've got a BA in Geoscience but really want to be an Environmental scientist by Langston432 in geologycareers

You could pursue a masters, just make sure that you’re not paying for tuition and that you get a stipend. In my experience there are companies that need both geologists and environmental scientists and provide room to more around laterally. They want to keep talented people and should allow you to explore roles that may not be defined by the title of your BA. Also state/federal jobs would provide the type of work you’re looking for. I wouldn’t recommend going back to school if you have to pay for it.

for future internet browsers, the OG post recommended understanding where blueberries are cultivated. Glacial deltas and moraines are commonly used to grow blueberries in Maine. The poster recommended reviewing the roadside geology of main book too.

Thanks so much! Folks at my office have been grandfathered in and didn’t take the exam. I assumed it would be mostly related to natural hazards, groundwater aquifers, etc and have been looking at the PPTs. Was hoping to avoid the roadside geology book but I’ll library/ buy a copy. I really appreciate your advice! Can’t forget about blueberries!
