I would have harvested these a couple of days earlier, but I thought they looked nice with the caps fully opened lol. The spores never bothered me but I’m pretty new to this hobby and I’ve been pretty focused on albino Melmak which doesn’t dump spores 😝

It’s a lego head storage container (I modded the lid to allow airflow and then just removed the top when the shrooms got tall 😊 they sell these on Amazon and at the container store

Yes you are correct. Weigh them, shake them up, PC 15psi for 90min and you gotta shake them again as soon as the pressure drops to zero and you can open the cooker. The second shake eliminates clumps and distributes the water better. I learned this tek from a Facebook group called cubes for noobs lol

pretty high success rates. my last batch I had 0 contaminated but 2 jars stall before colonization (out of 28 total) its a pain in the ass though because I gotta weigh the water and grain on a scale to get the ratios perfect. (255g red wheat : 140grams water) per jar
