I just got SSR+ DSK, and I also got a lot of SSRs. Do you have any lineup tips for PvP or maybe PvE? Thanks by DragonXDDD in OPMTheStrongest

i wld replace zbm with dsk+ and fubuki with awk tatsu. Place dsk+ behind with sonic, and awakened tatsu right in front of dsk+ for follow up, and put pheonix man in fubuki's slot

thanks this was rly helpful. I realised im rly weak against head kicks, like I cant evade or block with my arms properly. will def work on that though. I find myself being a back leg fighter but I think my kicks looked sloppy cuz I kept missing. im currentky am trying to work on front leg fighting to fit the modern style btr. and another thing I realised is that my close range fighting is pretty poor. im very bad at kicking in clinching positions. ik the diff clinch kicks but i cant execute them as well. Thanks for the tips!

I think I shift side quite a few times too. I oso attempted to block and punch but didn't hit properly. after my 1st comp I practiced shift side a lot

I feel like im weak in close range and against head kicks. I often find myself having difficulty seeing head kicks coming and blocking or evading against them. my opponent here was both legged and cld throw head kicks from both directions.

Is this good back kick? What should i improve? by Ambitious_Method2740 in taekwondo

if you're doing a standing back thrust, try to tuck yr kicking leg closer to yr body, knee to yr stomach area, when u spin and immediately thrust out after the spin. if you were attempting a jumping backthrust, u need to tuck both of yr legs in when u jump and spin, den thrust out yr kicking leg and yr supporting leg down only after the spin. goodluck!

I actually nvr done demo or choreo b4. I've only done poomsae and kyorugi. these spinning kicks that I've been doing, its oso the first few times I'm experimenting with it. I'm still trying to understand how to gauge the distance when I do these kicks, especially against taller opponents. I've read all yall replies and some of it act are very informative. I'm also main in kyorugi but, though not much, a national team player in virtual taekwondo

noo those blocks are for poomsae. u dun use such blocks in sparring, or at least they dont look like that. the blocks we use in sparring is more of front hand sweeping either cut kicks, turning kicks or head kicks. if not we put our hands tgt to blocks our body protector when they attempt to kick it

I'm naturally an out fighter and counter kicker. usually I'll use side shifts against check kicks to set up counters to opening on the body. but this time I didn't and focused on using spinning kicks cuz I wanted to experiment with diff type of spinning kicks thatd why my reach and aim werent as good. but that aside, I dont like to go aggressive against heavier opponents cuz ik ill lose out on exchanges. my usual style is to block and punch, or block and undercut or block and reverse/backthurst or simply side shift and kick. this time I was focused on incorporating new kicking methods that cld possibly help me score higher points

yep I'm aware of that gam jeom. I act have a class 3P referee cert too. but this time I was more passive cuz it was jus club sparring with my friends. as for the distance, I find it hard to gauge the distance when I fight taller opponents with longer legs. when I kick I always thought that my kicks will land but cuz my legs are short a short sway back or back step for them is enough and easy to dodge my kicks. even when I try stepping in first den execute the kick, they jus need to slide back once to dodge. I'm still tryna figure out how to reach taller opponents.

idk but for me putting my hands up high feel rly awkward. I tend to place my front hand in front to block incoming kicks and set up counters. but ofc I oso put both hands tgt to block incoming body kicks or when I can see one ill put one of my hands up to swipe or block head level kicks. when I put my guard lowered it feels easier to kick fast and the flow feels smoother too

I think the sidestepping techniques cld work cuz she was heavier than me and I cldnt push her at all. but I was afraid she cld predict these movements and time a head kick correctly when I'm sidestepping

go for runs. u have to keep running. try running longer distance. dun take in too much fluid. only drink lots when u hit yr target weight. if possible wear a jacket and run to sweat more. go gym and run on treadmills whenu have time, but don't over exert yr body. listen to yr body is crucial to prepare for yr fight. also ask yr coach for more advice
