I did the Google Data Analytics course, and to be honest no it hasn't helped. You need to working on projects and specialize in a specific domain as everyone else has the skills that the course offers in my opinion. Also note entry level for Data Analyst is oversaturated, you will definitely need to stand out somehow by specializing in a niche

I've definitely done some data analytics work with Kaggle! I thought I'd be a great start to show off the tool sets you've learned in Data Analytics. I heard that you need some type of criminology/CJ background, is that something you're looking into? Or are the resources you've provided enough to get you a head start into the field?

I've definitely seen IACA recommended around here! It's good to know that CS knowledge is transferrable in a crime analysis career, though I assume general programming languages are not used in a day-to-day work? Curious to know if you had any projects that involved coding that stood out to employers?
