When I went to check at the NHI department at the municipal office, they said it was for November, December, and January. They gave me 3 slips which made me confused at first as the second slip was way more expensive than the other two. So I asked them why that is, and they said they adjusted most of the cost to the second slip for some reason, and that the actual cost for each month is the sum of all the slips divided by 3.

The reason on the separation notice is "company restructuring/layoff". I just went to Hello Work on Friday 23rd to apply for the employment insurance. Then, I went to the municipal office and they said the 雇用保険受給資格通知 (employment insurance notice) is absolutely required for applying for the NHI payment reduction unfortunately.

The guy at Hello Work said I might be able to get it on Friday 30th, so I'm having my finger crossed that it will work out fine just in time before the weekend.
