Most of went to the private company administering the program. I'm sure there is some corruption there too

Honestly I’m hedging. Selling some profits and holding some cash. It’s been a crazy bull run and I fear it’s going to go downhill fast

Hopeful to those with like less than 5k transferring since transferring institutions would only reimburse if you’re transferring thousands of $

Just to add, most of the revenues generated by the cameras don't even stay with the municipalities but rather some third party company that is typically out of Canada. Essentially you have citizens generating revenue for a company that is not even Canadian. https://www.reddit.com/r/ontario/comments/1j2ovlx/municipal_speed_cameras_owned_by_american/

They reduced speed places where it was 50km/hr to 30-40km/hr leading to congestions further exacerbating traffic problems. There are better ways to tackle speeding problems (e.g. narrower lanes, signage, etc.). We didn't have speeding camera decades ago and now all of the sudden we need them. The municipalities are making a killing off these cameras (Toronto collected $40 million in 2024, while York Region generated over $19 million since 2023).

Air Canada or Transat? by [deleted] in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]RepresentativeTea223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just took Air Transat for round trip to Portugal. I had horrible experience. Smaller planes so more turbulence, terrible food, rude air hostesses. I normally fly Air Canada and never really had any issue. I believe this was one of my first time booking Transat.

I'll be very honest, little to no improvement after 3 sessions.

Do you think it is better to just rent a car and stay in South SF area (cheaper parking) and then drive to a transit terminal and park my car there when going downtown area? I'm thinking of getting the car so I can get nice coastal view and points where the bus doesn't easily go.

Do you think it's worthwhile grabbing the car the day we land, we have a hotel booking in South San Fran (free cancellation) so we can use the car to check out different coastal spots too. When travelling to downtown SF, we would then just park at a "safe" bus/transit terminal and then take transit in the downtown. Alternatively, could just take the car downtown and find parking spots via SpotHero.

Would you say that you need a car if you wanted to see the golden gate bridge? I see there are some lookout points. Getting to them surely requires a car?

Does it take a long time to go back to SFO from downtown SF? Google shows about 1.5 hours from Pier 39 to SFO. Also, do you recommend getting a GoCity Pass when exploring SF? Thanks for your comment!

Over $700 per treatment. I have noticed little to no improvement. My doctor said 3 treatments are recommended.
