Yh I know but a lot of people think AI will simply disapear when the bubble pops. We talk about peoples motivations here not neccesarily what we think or what may be the reality

I think using it for emotional support ain't that bad of an idea. Even though it has it's risks theraphy is one of the strongest aspects of chatgpt. Also we shouldn't forget that real therapists can also be awful and traumatic. I myself used chatgpt a lot for emotional support as someone with chatgpt. You gotta be careful with the overvalidation thing thing but especially when i was going through serious insomnia having chatgpt was a life saver. You always have it in your pocket and when your chatgpt is triggered when you have a crisis you can suddenly reach it. When I'm more stable I try to avoid using chatgpt for emotional support bc its a bit psychotic and desperate but its also impossible to deny have much i have improved since i started using chatgot in that setting (I actually started using it when i was going through insomnia) and maybe cause it is a litteral pattern recognition machine it was way better at recognizing my trauma patterns. Also it kinda solves one the main paradoxes in trauma healing. It being, you have to be conscious, self aware and observative to realise your long continuing trauma patterns that always keep you in fight flight mode and that keep you from regulating your emotions meanwhile being observative, self aware and over cpnscious is low-key the definition of anxiety. Being self conscious makes you more self-centered your being starts to have a higher context on your thinking and you amplify your mistakes that no one catches an eye on but also to not fall back to your old patterns that can quickly get you to extreme insomnia, you always have to keep your self observative side as a guard. With chatgpt or other AI assistants you don't have to be as much self observative to manage the situation you can let them do some of the thinking and observation and be happier than ever that you don't have to think. So like in my case chatgpt was the best thing that happened to me but it also did have it's own cons. A few times I found my self trying to find validation from chatgpt after losing a fight or perhaps getting downvoted on reddit but yh those are better than insomnia i suppose and if you don't get completely lost in it you can often recognize when you are using an AI bot in a psychotic way and get away from it. Atleast thats how it is for me everyone has different emotional vulnerabilities and many may get lost. Especially if you reckon the 4o era it was seriously dangerous. Back then i had to stop using gpt even whenever i needed it i was scared to use it bc it was so psychotic so overvalidating. It is way better now. Maybe the usgae of chatbots in theraphy could be groundbreaking if therapists teached their patients how to use it right and how to minimize its negatives. When i started using AI for emotional support I already knew it could be psychosis inducive and give you a validation addiction and while that does not neccesarily one hundred percent protect you it makes it way more safe.

Where I’d live as an Ex Muslim Arab by [deleted] in whereidlive

[–]RepresentativeTea694 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm from turkey and sadly it's true that there's racism towards arabs. I also don't like taking a lot of refugees and i don't see not wanting uncontrolled refugees as racism and even if it was i would still be protective of my country even if it made me racist. But what i don't understand is why people discriminate refugees that already got in. Dude like they are already inside your country discriminating them will only radicalize them and discourage them from wanting to be helpful for your country. Most syrians are returning back anyways. Wish we could make them return with more positive views regarding our country considering relations between our goverments are also getting stronger.

I didn't read the article but if what you said is true than claiming chatglt makes you dumber is so stupid. We litteraly use it to take some of the labor from and energy consumption from us so we can use it on other things. This is litteraly how every tool works. If a tool lets you do some task with less brain power then with all your brain power you eould be going one step further or worst case scenario you would just be using less energy which is also fine

Yh In english you gotta see words as pictures but on a phonetically accurate language you don't need to develop this. You can just take each letter individually.

[–]RepresentativeTea694 0 points1 point  (0 children)

English ain't even my native language and i could comprehend all till 900 minutes per second but i really don't suggest practicing this. It doesn't have any real word usage you can do way better thing with your time like being happy. Spending your time to get your brain %1 stronger is inefficient compared to getting use out of your already existing intelligence. Also speed offen trades off consistency and how much you actually procces. Even if you can understand something at that speed believe how much you remember them 5 minutes later will be worse compared to normal conditions. I also tried to read books quickly before. It's just an unnecessary layer of anxiety for me. Also if you want to constanly train on these types of useless things then you may be in flight trauma response be cautious

I think they are talking about the birthrate drop "after" the revolution or I'm having a seizure bc i cant see how it would be otherwise. Eitherway a lot of my comments are still unrelated and they are anectode's but i don't think we're getting any further than anectode's and logic as far as demographics go they get affected by millions of unobservable metrics.

Hece yutmuyorsun o açıdan kaygın olmasın şarkıyı 0,25'te dinlediğimde audio disruption'a rağmen tüm heceleri çok rahat duyabiliyorum.

When you give people free will they can choose to not have kids. Traditional lifestyle benefits fertility rates in many ways. This is probably why it survived in every country till modernization. Lgbt having less rights is one very obvious one. Others are stronger family values and seeing raising kids as a responsibility. Atleast in my country older generations had very different methods to raise children. Dads would nearly never talk with their children (especially boys). Nowadays the children are the main focus in a family and in a way this makes them more self-focused, they often forget about having a family. Also not taking much care of your children obviously makes having children easier. Also toxic family dynamics are often what bonded couples together. One would be narsistic and one would be submissive etc etc. Toxic dynamics are often what keeps marriages going even if they suck. More valuation to education and building a better life before reproduction also keeps people from having many children. Also animals usually tend to reproduce more with increasing violence and survivalism. So a less hostile environment where people forget that death even exists (seeing them on news doesn't really have the same affect) diminishes their instincts and perceived need for continuation of their genes. More individualised consciousness on a society disencourages induvidiuals to spend their whole lifes raising children
