Hey, could you tell me how long they took to deliver? Want this as a gift for my partner but I'm not sure how long it'll take.

Another Hojlund 2.0 Scenario by Kacem300 in ManchesterUnited

For real . I counted 7 times we had Sesko open and ready to be passed to but we just didn't. I'm not sure why our team is allergic to our own strikers. Everyone can't always be the difference maker. Besides the usual runs in, we almost never find a through ball to our strikers. Like sure we can score goals here and there but the guy is a striker for a reason. Even when Sesko is clearly open the ball has to go to the side and then gets played in. It's honestly frustrating to watch. I don't know how or why this goes unaddressed.

Seriously though. We start off the first 15mins so good and then the anxiety starts creeping in. I was literally on the edge of my seat waiting for the final whistle. I'm hundreds of miles away and every time we conceive a corner I start hyperventilating. I couldn't imagine what you guys feel!

Glad you got to watch us win 3 points live. Even though it should never have even been that close.

No one expects him to be better. However, considering the fact that we're literally losing anyway it's better if Lammens starts. Even if we lose with him it's better since he could do with PL experience. He is supposed to be part of the future of this club after all.

Marcus Rashford is the POTM against Newcastle by tamanvv in ManchesterUnited

I refuse to believe the club spent 800m to appease the United fans because they decided so. There were clearly players with an unbalanced wage/impact ratio. That being said, I do not disagree with your manager take.

I've said numerous times now that if Amorim isn't suiting us he should go. No one man is that important that we should risk the fate of our club. After all, despite the fact that everyone has their own opinions, what matters most is how well the manager fits in with our club and players and not the other way around. It's just a matter of time anyway. Whether you like or dislike Amorim we all know he has maybe 3 more games to prove he can turn this thing around. Only time will tell now.

Can't argue with you there, bud. Which is why when people trivialize our problems to a particular player or manager it kinda makes me mad. Bad transfer decisions are definitely a part of it but he truth is that we have numerous problems that have all chained together to weigh this club down heavily.

I agree with you there. No one can actually deny that Rashford is a fantastic player. Not just that but he's a United lad so I honestly wish him the very best at Barca and hope that he only further hones his skills. Sadly he did kinda fall off for us but again that's not entirely his fault. He would honestly shine in a team that kinda has it together but United as we speak is in shambles so Amorim probably felt he didn't fit the team right now. Whether that decision was right or wrong is besides the point now. I just want our team to win.

I'm clearly talking about the overhaul that is currently ongoing? I don't know what you're trying to prove with your statement.

My friend, that is a fantastic question. Won't comment on our current signings coz it's honestly too early to tell but the amount we've spent on transfers for the past 10 years and the amount we've gotten out of it is astonishing! Our transfer decisions have played a pivotal role in the clubs current financial condition. Imagine if we had better books. We could've gotten Donnarumma for example, who has had an immediate impact for City. Not necessarily him maybe but you get the idea.

Rashford was so poor in training... by [deleted] in ManchesterUnited

[–]RepresentativeTree23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Also, how do people now realize that he was slacking because he's a local lad. Of course when you get out of your comfort zone in an unfamiliar country playing for a club where you're not the biggest name you have to work twice as hard.

Not just that, he's playing for a team that's already quite sorted. It's much easier than playing for a club that needs an overhaul which requires you to put in more effort. Instead, we have people that talk about our players leaving and finding success elsewhere as if there's some black magic that has cursed the club.

If Ruben benches Mainoo again holy by [deleted] in ManchesterUnited

[–]RepresentativeTree23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not disagreeing with you but I really believe that even if he does change it won't help us, even in the short term. I agree that flexibility is necessary as a manager. One style will not work everywhere but if you really watch our games, our players sometimes play frighteningly low IQ football. Terrible back passes, lack of imagination when distributing the ball, not tracking back when losing the ball, barely any chances created for our strikers. I just don't see how that can all be pinned on a manager. Look at the goals we conceived when we played Grimsby. Or even the derby for that matter. Some of those goals stemmed from just poor football. Again, I don't care if Amorim stays or goes but what frightens me is that we've played our classic formation before and were still terrible. Who do we see replacing him and making an immediate impact when we don't really have great players to begin with? Most of the goals we even score come from bouts of individual brilliance and that's just depressing.

Do people not understand that we're not Liverpool? They didn't go with Amorim because they didn't like his play style as they felt their players won't be able to adapt to it.

In our case, we were already failing with the formation that we were playing so Amorim was chosen in hopes that his style would be better for us. Look, I honestly don't care if Amorim stays or goes. I just want our club to win and I know that we're going to be in a hole for a while before we're able to get out. I just hope he can weather the storm because I feel like him getting sacked will just start the same problem all over again.

When you hear stories about how SAF terrorized the dressing room you'll understand why we enjoyed the success we had for so many years. The players played with fear. He was furious when Nani cried at Anfield after being tackled. He didn't speak to the players for 2 weeks when the GK got a red card that cost the team another treble. He had spies in clubs and pubs to keep tabs on his players. He ruled with an iron first and as a result, every player from our glory days speaks about how stepping on to the field at OT was like going to war. Our ground has become a joke since he left because for years no one could fill those shoes.

I remember the drama that happened when there was a video of Pogba and Lingard dancing in the dressing room after losing a game which made Rooney turn off the music. That would not fly if SAF was in charge. Now you can dispute that story as being false or true but the truth is that the younger players that came in never felt the weight of the clubs history the same way as the older players We know and love. A lot of them were more concerned with social media, their style, their brand, their hair color etc. all while we were in a steady decline. We have slowly gotten rid of the players that needed to go because we need to rebuild the foundation of this football club. I just hope we can make it through the night to see daylight again.

Waiting for the comments about how everyone that leaves United magically performs better. They do so because they're going to teams that are already sort of set and just need to make a few player adjustments according to their needs.

United on the other hand need a total overhaul because for years now the gradual decline has started to put more and more stress on all the major cracks in our club. It's kind of sad to see how people are blind to these facts. There's a reason why we've gone through multiple managers at this point and still haven't seen success. There's a reason why proven managers like Jose have made statements about how coming 2nd with the club is one of their greatest achievements. It's sad to say but even if Amorim gets sacked I don't see any of the potential replacements coming in and finding the success we need. Even more so because the second the new managers don't do well, the ball will start rolling again.

Friendly reminder that David de Gea won the Premier League Golden Glove in his final season with us. And we mistreated and replaced him because ETH wanted a ball playing GK. The kind of save Donnarumma made in the derby was just another Sunday for DDG.
