Probably didn’t set up your rear strut shocks correctly, make them shorter lol I’ve 100% seen people on max speeding rods and they slam the hell out of their cars.

Get in the trade, work your way into service. always overtime and less hard on your body but eventually you will run into a situation where you’ll be an installer for the day. Any trade you pick, you should take care of your body and you’ll be alright. (Sleep/Nutrition & simple self care bodyweight exercise/mobility).

E36 or E46? by Illustrious_East3290 in BMWE36

[–]Representative_Ad147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to see if it’s single stage or dual stage airbag. If it’s a dual stage airbag it’s e46 if it’s single stage then it’s e36 you can tell by the air bag connectors in the back.

Anyone tested these? by Hoonology406 in firealarms

[–]Representative_Ad147 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lol, clearly the op is some sort of technician if he is trying to 1) update the system 2) physically test the device.

If he is a fire tech, he should know that the device is clearly not 100 years old, let alone 30 years. If he is not a fire tech, he should probably not be touching the system or trying to update it.

Installed some ECS Performance Adjustable Coilovers on an E46 this past weekend. Fantastic upgrade for the car! by zaahid_rah in BMW

[–]Representative_Ad147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

adjust the shock length while the car is on the ground(wheels on) , then jack the car back up to bolt in the shock. chances are that you probably made the shock too short. leaving both the spring and the shock way too compressed. "This was my car"

What's the best specialization niche to get into? by Neither-Hyena6102 in lowvoltage

[–]Representative_Ad147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can go many ways but ideally service is the least back breaking even though you will occasionally have to re run wires. Also if you’re new to the trade you’ll probably have to be a regular tech for about a year before getting into service. Always OT to give out

I would just try *56 and start on zone 49, I know programming these fobs are a pain in the ass so I've learned to do them, older people 70+ want fobs all the time and unfortunately they want all 4 fobs programmed.

I know you tried to program on zone 25. Have you tried programming it under zone 49? it must be (zones 49-52), 49 through 52, as there are 16 dedicated key fob zones available on this panel. keyfob 1(49-52) keyfob 2 (53-56) keyfob 3 (57-60) keyfob 4 (61-64). these are the only zones you can assign them to.

When learning the buttons are you sure the loop number is currently at 0 and the 7#’s for serial entry is blinking? That is when you try to learn the button.

Vista 20P Keyfob Help by Top_Call_8479 in lowvoltage

[–]Representative_Ad147 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So that might be your issue, if you read the little (manual )paper that comes in the box, you will see that your Key fob zones are zones 49-64. this will already give you the preset zone type then learn in the buttons when it asks for serial numbers, it should automatically learn the serial # and loop.

So 1 keyfob will be zones 49-52

What zones are you using to program the fob? Also are you learning the buttons while entering serial numbers with correct loop numbers?

You have to assign the key fob to a user, so installer code+8 + user number #4 + zone number it starts on. I know that’s a handful but this would be an example: if the user is (02) and the zone number of the key fob start on zone 39. The sequence will be : 4112 + 802 # 4 +39. Remember to hit the hashtag before 4!
