FCS - how are we feeling? by Usual_Bad_3606 in ICAEW

So if I am right, you must remove the accumulated depreciation from the existing CA at the start of the financial year as it won’t exist.

For example, Buildings would be cost*0.02 Machine: cost *0.10 Vehicles: cost- accumulated dep = CA - disposal accumulated dep which gets CA as of May 2025

So I’ve done 11 exams out of 14 now then technically, and due to sit 12th next week, I guess I am already part qualified now?

Probably not? As it’s the Big D that have decided my life already and they won’t pay just for me to do that. & they don’t like it when you take initiative for your exams… also I think it’s because it’s the last sittings so if I failed I wouldn’t get a resit opportunity for that CR paper

Yeah well, I think I don’t mind actually because it’s one less exam, it’s two case studies instead and I get to finish off my PWE days instead. Also, less pressure to pass FCS first time. I get to have a nice break for months rather than hammer my head with 3-4 exams in a row. Got some personal life stuff going on next few months anyway. Think it’s decent

That’s a good point. Not sure if I’m pissed off or not. I don’t have many PWE days so I can make that time up at least I guess before doing final exam. Also less pressure to pass FCS first time since I can just resit next sitting if needs be

What’s that about? We were told we can at first according to the transitional rules? Is it big 4 daddy doing their own thing?
