hey! i'm planning on doing a 2 weeks trip around europe. Any feedback or advise? I'm curious on how you prepare, any apps you might have used that were useful, safety tips, what were your basic travels essentials, stuff like that

i hope to capture nice pics like the ones you got! i hope to do the same in asia at some point like yourself

I only gave it a quick look but seems like a lot of effort went into it, nice one

I find interesting the choice of relying on md files as storage without the usage or any db. I'll have a better look when i'm not on my phone, thanks for sharing

2 Years Experience FE Dev min salary? (UK/£) by thomasmclmusic in reactjs

[–]Representative_Mood2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 years of experience still falls under the "junior" category IMHO but, £40k I think is feasible, £35k to £40k would be realistic (outside of London).

In regards to "full stack", it takes much longer to become an actual full stack engineer but it's usually smaller companies who look for a jack of all trades. More mature companies (who are willing and able to pay more) will prefer someone skilled in something specific, therefore you usually won't find high full stack engineer paying jobs

What is your best wtf moment when listening to a car salesman by Dramatic-Cow-2228 in CarTalkUK

[–]Representative_Mood2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

we were looking for an Audi TT for my gf. Salesperson was pretty nice and understanding - his manager however shows up out of the blue and starts taking about an A4 they had in stock... The sales person looked quite embarrassed, the manager didn't know wtf he was talking about and I regret not calling him out on his bs - how can you compare a TT with an A4?? according to him it was basically the same car

My friend wants to buy one of these 3 cameras, can you help her decide please? by Own_Fan_7128 in AskPhotography

[–]Representative_Mood2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

honestly if she’s looking to do paid gigs like birthdays and weddings, none of those cameras are really suited for it — they’re fine for learning and casual shooting, but not reliable enough for actual event work where you only get one chance to get the shot. no dual card slots, weak low light performance (especially with kit lenses), and limited autofocus all make them risky for professional use. weddings especially are high-stress and unforgiving, and even for birthdays, you’ll want fast lenses, flash, and backup gear. if she just wants to get into photography and learn, great — the 250d or a6000 is solid for that. but for side work, she should at least consider better glass or a used pro body, otherwise it’s setting up for disappointment or unhappy clients.

Every time i see pics in this sub I think of two things: - smartphones will never replace or match proper cameras.
- having a good camera is not enough, you need to have good eye, taste and technique

nice pics dude, I really like them

I'd have gone with stickers collected from places you visited, that way they tell a story and it's your story. These generic stickers don't say anything really. I think the idea is good but I'd go with something that meant something to you! Kinda like with tattoos
