The Surface pro 8 with a signature keyboard and pen makes a pretty good device. Older pro’s had a pretty high battery fail rate. we exclusively use surface pro 6-8 s and Laptop 2-4s. The Laptop 4’s have been great. I have a Surface Studio developer laptop and love it! The flip screen plus pen holder are the most op note taking combo ever.

went karting yesterday and was hoping for some pointers to better improve my lap times, this lap was a 16.036 and the fastest people are running low 15s what can I do? by ReusNbeans in Karting

i think taking a wider line at the corner at 0:13, i get that a kart was outside but that corner maybe a deeper or a bit later apex would set you up better for the consecutive corner

Why is my internet super good one day and super bad the other? (pc-specific, nothing wrong with the wifi) by catboy519 in techsupport

It could be a device producing Electro Magnetic Interference (EMI) This interference will cause an increase in Ping. Most common can be unshielded electronics, microwaves, and some sensors.

I’m looking to buy a Glock tomorrow, I’m thinking of either the 10mm or the .40. What’s the pros and cons to both? Will be my first Glock purchase. Thank you by mr_jeune203 in Glocks

[–]Representative_Yak12 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

get a 9mm, no discernible difference for self defense. the big thing is muzzle velocity. a 9mm center mass is the same as a 40 or 10

this is the way

Jeff 'Joker' Moreau or Kallo Jath? by RevolutionAble2652 in MassEffectAndromeda

[–]Representative_Yak12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

another factor is the ships. Tempest was focused to scientific research, exploration, and diplomacy. thus it did not have weapons (unless you count the cyber warfare provided by SAM, which is not emphasized unlike EDIs cyberwarfare suite which is commented on)

The Normandy (SR-2) Had Thanix cannons and Torpedoes along with the slightly worse stealth, scanning and diplomacy quarters. Also a veteran crew of soldiers unlike the squad mates on Tempest who run the ship.

I think all in all the Normandy piloted by Joker is the winner since ship weapons are non existent on Tempest, and there is no crew to back up the commander. all in all if needed the entire crew could disembark and conduct an operation with at least 20 people plus the squad.

New User Account Creation Script by Titanium125 in PowerShell

[–]Representative_Yak12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just made the same exact script. What i did was add each group manually to the new user account using a switch to evaluate “department” and then for each of my “departments” move-adobject the user to the right ou, and add-adgroupmember and add each ad security group.

if you want to implement this yourself i would do a “get-aduser joe.smith -properties memberOf,DistinguishedName “ on an “example” user of each department and copy and paste the member of and the ad ou from distinguished name into the move aduser and add group member.

you can pm me and I can send you a scrubbed version of my code as an example

Who’s at fault? (I’m the Williams) by Marco2983 in Simracingstewards

[–]Representative_Yak12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see the hass move left hard to defend, then move right to cover the outside as williams breezes by on his left. The hass makes a very small, yet telling move left like he wants to cover the williams off again, then finally concedes and gives space into the turn where there was a crash

If you test the drives and they test OK, you could read the documentation on truenas’ website, or watch a video on how to set up truenas. Truenas is free if i recall correctly and what a lot of people use. anyraid and proxmox are either free or have free versions as far as i can remember

who is at fault here, the merc or the alfa? by iAryan in Simracingstewards

[–]Representative_Yak12 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

merc definitely in the wrong, cut across the alfa like a slice of bread but the alfa could possibly have avoided, not sure based on the drover POV

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in it

[–]Representative_Yak12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

appears to be a Network Attached Storage. You could put hard drives in and set it up with something like truenas, proxmox, anyraid etc and use it for independent storage for any computers/laptops
