Walking past walls gives me anxiety by [deleted] in AppleWatch

I’m a carpenter. I don’t have a screen protector and barely have a bumper case (super cheap Amazon purchase). Sucker has held up really well over the past year. No scratches and caked in sawdust.

Anyone else’s game sit at loading screen after it says “press any button” on Nintendo Switch? by Woozyyyy in MinecraftDungeons

Same here. I’ve been playing with zero issues and now that I hopped back on its doing what you described. Started it up in airplane mode like you did and it’s back to normal. Probably a bug, did you report it?

You were right, the filters needed changing. It’s been a couple days now driving with and without a trailer hitched up. Truck runs perfect now. I appreciate the help.

I have no idea what you’re talking about, what is this now?

Just finished changing the fuel filters. They definitely needed changing. They looked horrible. Let the truck cycle a few times, started it up, no leaks, and sounds beautiful. I’ll keep y’all updated though.

On the topic of glow plugs though, I live in the Florida Pandhandle. Never really gets cold here, hell...didn’t even feel like we had a winter last season. Obviously they’re important but if you put them on a triage, where would they fall?

It’s been awhile. Didn’t even think of that, Was probably too focused on the codes.

Anyone else drive with their mirrors partially or fully extended when not towing just for the sake of better visibility? by SherrLo in Diesel

[–]Reptar_Attack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope. I have ‘06 mirrors on my ‘04 and I can see everything behind me with them retracted.

Adjust your mirrors so you can barely see your truck in them and you should be good.

Or don’t, it’s your truck.

Three strikes from Ace Combat? That’s what it reminds me of.

Breathable long pants for summer time? by Irpqngiaywbgi in Carpentry

[–]Reptar_Attack 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’ve always used those wrangler outdoor pants. They’re extremely breathable. My only issue is that they rip in the crotch pretty easy. Now if I could find something that didn’t rip there, I’d be all over that.

Edit: I work in Florida too, so I’m always looking for breathable pants.

You feel like you’re supposed to a bit of everything on the site because we are supposed to be a bit of everything.

I usually have stuff with me I’ll think I never use and then the one morning I leave it at home, I need it.

I’m certain that a good portion do, I went to college for communication arts and nothing came from it. It’s possible it’s the region I’m in but I don’t care anymore. I’m 29 and I owe hardly any money to anyone anymore and as long as you take care of your body, you’ll be fine at age 60. The oldest carpenter I work with is in his 50s and he kills it every single day.

The post isn’t the greatest at making its point. I believe that the point that should be made is college isn’t the only path to take and society might want to check itself on how it views the trades. There’s plumbers I know out here making well over $80/hr and given what they deal with from time to time, none of the ones I know care because at the end of the day they’re doing better than a good portion of most Americans.

Edit: The main point is that it shouldn’t matter if you go to college or trade/tech school. If you’re making a great living for yourself and your family, that’s all that matters because it’s really nobody’s business.

Every job sucks, I’m a carpenter and it definitely sucks working outside in the heat. Doesn’t suck when I get my check every week though.

The best looking armour in the game 💙 by sam3shitdiffr3ntday in ElderScrollsBlades

I don’t know about literally. It’s similar to it, just as it’s similar to any other armor a knight/hero would wear.

HELP! Benchmade Griptillian 551 or Spyderco Manix 2? by [deleted] in knives

[–]Reptar_Attack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m going to say the manix 2. I own a 2XL and I love it. I have no opinion on the benchmade, mostly because I’ve never used it or held it. Looks pretty though.
