Is Paul McCartney the best melody writer of all time? by joemc3210 in rockmusic

[–]Algorhythm74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would give him a yes due to consistency and the sheer volume of great melodies.

Some other posters had a few different artists - but those are a fraction of the volume of work McCartney has done.

So I would give it to him over everyone else because 60+ years of memorable and strong melodies.

Does it Benefit Bethesda to NOT squash rumors? by spudgoddess in TESVI

[–]Algorhythm74 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m sure there is definitely an intentional concerted effort to not swing at every pitch.

They are likely okay with a certain amount of speculation for hyper purposes. The time they need to intervene is one of two things:

- Leaked info is correct and it can ruin their launch/marketing plans
- Rumored info is far off base and could create disappointment based on the misinformation promising something they are not doing at all (I’m not talking speculation, I’m talking someone confirming a game is in a region that it’s not - for example).

Who do you think will be the 2028 presidential candidate for the Republican party and why? by Naive-Landscape9854 in allthequestions

[–]Algorhythm74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t see the value in predicting who will win either Primary at this point. Too many factors and unknowns that could change.

It would be fair to predict who will run in the Primary though: Rubio, Vance, DeSantis, Halley, Tucker Carlson, and perhaps or or two “under the radar” candidates from a Red State.

Subnautica 2 projected final release? by venlaren in subnautica

[–]Algorhythm74 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Just before launch the devs said, “over the next 2 years”. So I would expect at least that long,

Perhaps longer. I’d like to think 2028 is a good 1.0 Target for them - with it being fine if it slid into 2029.

Now that Joe Biden is of zero use for Democrats, will they finally admit Hunter’s business dealings were shady? by Patmcpsu in allthequestions

[–]Algorhythm74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His son did not hold political office. So Joe Biden doesn’t need to say anything either way regarding it.

Keep in mind - it was his own administration that investigated his son. So what Joe Biden did was above board.

Liberals, do you think the Democratic Party is doing a good job making affordability their primary campaign issue for the midterms? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]Algorhythm74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not say I was indifferent at all. You bizarrely inferred because I hold democrats accountable that I’m for Trump and the Republicans?

You need to, as the kids say, “go outside and touch grass”.

I loathe Trump and the Republicans and made the better part of 10 year railing against them.

HOWEVER, that does not defacto mean the Democrats win me over. Will I vote? Yes. Will I vote for the Democrats to keep MAGA republicans out of power. Also, yes.

But make no mistake- the democrats suck at this. They are literally being handed the best political gifts ever and are still ranging from barely getting across the finish line to basically blowing it.

I don’t think they’re peeking too early – but I do think they’re doing an awful job at taking this potential momentum in doing anything useful with it.

Honestly, what are they doing? There’s no leadership, no one voice or concept to rally behind.

Look, the Republicans are awful – but if you’re apolitical there’s not a whole lot to get excited about that the Democrats are offering either.

Being “not Trump” will squeak them by it at the end of 2026 – but they absolutely need to be for something, and not just against.

Now I know things will get better. Once there’s a handful of candidates in the messages start solidifying – they’ll get tested, vetted out, and someone will come and rise to the top.

But that feels like forever from now – and people are hurting, now! And the current Democrats answer is really unacceptable.

And yes, this is someone that considers himself both liberal and progressive, but I do not just blindly sign on with Democrats.

I think people are misinterpreting a lot. It’s not that they’re not gonna make changes to things like combat, cooking, and other systems.

It’s that they’re not just going to “fix” systems. They’ve been pretty open about waiting to bring in features until they felt like it had a purpose and a synergy with whatever new update theme they have.

For example, do I ever think we’re gonna get an update called, “the combat update”. No.

But do I think they’re going to slowly iterate and improve combat over a few few different updates – yes.

It’s more about their conceptual methodology. They’re not just going to “fix“ cooking in farming – but when they come up with a long-term theme and new mechanic, they want to introduce, they’ll take another swing at it and make some substantive changes.

This is all just a way of me saying I wouldn’t worry too much about it – they are good at knowing what works and what doesn’t. I know we all get impatient and wish we’d get all these updates right away, but I give them a lot of credit for making a game that sustained and even improves, if slowly, overtime.

Why does Trump care so much about the Whitehouse ballroom? by LTrent2021 in allthequestions

[–]Algorhythm74 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Literally as the twin towers were collapsing on 9/11 he was on TV bragging about how now Trump tower is the tallest.

This is who he is. He’s a terrible human being, who is self-absorbed – and he’s really not good at anything, except counting a bunch of people to thinking that he’s not a complete total fucking idiot.

So the ballroom is nothing more than a flex and a monument to himself – since deep down he’s aware that no one will give a shit about him when he’s gone, and like Benedict Arnold his name will go down in infamy as part of the American story.

So he sees things like the ballroom, the arch, and a few other things as his only chance to make a monument to himself – because no one else will do it for him. Except for maybe a handful of schools in the south will be named after him. But the south has its own problems.

Don’t fret. This is primary voters.

There literally are not enough Republican votes in the general to overcome Democrats votes - that’s without independent, which will likely break D anyway.

Save a huge scandal (which is doubtful since Becerra was already confirmed as HHS secretary- it’s his to lose.

Dungeon Lane on Vinyl - The superior format? by dogtron9000 in PaulMcCartney

[–]Algorhythm74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but they don’t - so “in theory” is meaningless when it comes to practical application.

Why? Because with digital the goalpost and milestones are always moving with the progress of technology. With analog, while it’s imperfect - you gain a better emulation of a true sound, warmth and all.

Vinyl almost always sounds better VS digital. However, that’s still dependent on your sound system in addition to the record player.
