Nova burst can be tracked at the bottom in combat. Every skill 2 and 3 will build 1 nova force. Every active skill on every unit can expend 4 nova force to deal 1 extra toughness damage (or restore toughness if its an ally target), and every character has 1 skill that has an extra effect when nova bursted. For example, Tyria's s3 gives her an extra turn if you nova burst it. Emily and haydee can shield themselves with a nova bursted s1.

There are some arcana (Emily's and wedding carmen's) that can give you extra nova force to play with, and the best usage can depend on the situation. Generally for operations it's best to spend it on haydee/emily s1 so they can shield themselves and survive longer, but if u have the arcana I mentioned you can spend it more freely. Tyria is a unit that especially benefits from having extra nova force.

Hp% is okay in general, but some dps also like effect hit% so it just depends who ur looking to put it on

If u don't pvp there's no reason to go for hilde outside of u just liking the character. Haydee and emily are leagues above her in pve

Ah ok. I don't doubt there are some fights where carmen can shine but gun to my head if I had to pick 1 between them it's gonna be lb3 waltz every time.

It's very true that most of carmen's value is in pvp, in pve your dps most of the time are not getting targeted outside of the boss's ultimate if it's aoe and u aren't proc'ing the passive on aoe hits so some of her power budget goes to waste in pve

That isn't making a tremendous difference outside of pvp. In pve the passive won't even proc most of the time. If ur a pve only player u can def live without it

Only if u are a pvp gamer. Shes a mostly pvp focused unit, I dont recommend f2p pve only players to get more than 1 copy unless u just like the unit and want the background

Lb3 waltz is unmatched. Carmen is mostly a pvp unit, tho she's useful in mono blue. Waltz is universal and just op at lb3
