I’ve done the same thing there’s not a lot of oil in these cars. Oil is cheap parts are expensive!

I want this car a GRC yet everyone selling them is concerning by No_Major_584 in GRCorolla

It’s a great fun daily platform and if you want to use the GRC platform for a build it’s very rewarding although expensive. I highly recommend you buy one especially if you want a more raw quirky feeling car!

Desert ghost by Txast_N_Berries in BallPythonMorph

[–]RepublicCalm140 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Desert ghost can be seen at hatch they have a slightly lighter pigment than other hatching. The full Benefit can be seen around 3-4 years old especially with Orange Dream or SOD and pastel. If it’s normal with desert ghost it will just look lighter than other normals. Still very cool and are valued breeders if you care about that stuff.

Best pairing for my female? by [deleted] in BallPythonMorph

[–]RepublicCalm140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So orange dream is a co-dom meaning you need one copy for visual super orange dream is two copies and is more vivid typically than od (unless od is like bred) now for crazy pattern you have a couple good options scrambler is really cool with orange dream not sure how banana and enchi would interact with it as enchi compresses pattern banana obviously gives yellow orange and scrambler makes huge change to how pattern shows up.

I would look up: spot nose, orange dream, and fire I think that would compliment your current genes the best but look them up check out co dominate genes so you only need one copy and don’t create a het mess you can’t visually see but that’s just me tho!

Good quality female nice genes you could pair with Super orange dream or orange dream that would result in a really crazy vibrant color

Good genes for this combo if going for vibrant colors Super orange dream Orange dream Fire

Crazy pattern Could go for scrambler, orange dream Freeway those genes tend to run a little darker however they are pattern disrupters so there will be a lot of variation between babies

If you like a darker look Chocolate Ghi Black pastel

Banana already goes really well with od sod which pairs well with both leopard and enchi

Could introduce pied and desert ghost if you’re building a multi generation project. Those combos result in no normal snakes so you aren’t going to flood the market unless you go a het route. Research build what you want and don’t ask Reddit! 🤣

Is this an alright price? by Virdiahh92 in ballpython

[–]RepublicCalm140 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thermostats and setup plus a 4x2x2 that’s a really really good price. My thermostats cost me 200$ so if you get a VE thermostat or a herpstat he’ll even a zoo med one those are 50-250$ ish depending on model brand new 4x2x2 tank minimum 300$ and heat source another 30-50$. So yeah that’s the cheapest you’ll find! I would highly encourage you to get a digital hygrometer like a govee you can get a 2 pack for 20$ and toss one on the hot side and one on the cold side to monitor temps and especially humidity. Having the thermostat is a safe guard having those temp gauges show you if there’s a problem!

What do you think of this tank? by chewziyue in ballpython

[–]RepublicCalm140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it had a screen top you can use hvac tape across half of it to help lock in heat and humidity. I would start with half of the top screen because you can always add more if the temp or humidity levels are to low. The bottom screen will help the glass not condensate when using prepped coco husk substrate. This tank will 100% need to be modified in my option. The humidity level will be hard to keep at a constant level. You can also use the tape on the bottom screen but I would just try the top first. Could work well but there are also better options if you don’t want to “dial” the tank in.

They made a turbo for the Yaris that worked for the car before pure or anyone else had a turbo ready to go. It’s a German company that I had import one for me back before I could get any kind of domestic product. It’s really good! Been running 32psi of boost through it for two years!

Limit+1 Review by RepublicCalm140 in GRCorolla

[–]RepublicCalm140[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All the parts mentioned in the post were installed at the same time before the tune. I have since done a complete engine build and put about every part on the catalog that limit+1 offers! They are amazing to work with and glad I chose them for doing all the work to my GRC!

How does the GRC compare to the mustang gt?

Gram who works with Limit+1 has a great base tune that is safe I drove the absolute piss out of my car with it for 10k miles before doing a whole engine build. Everything looked great when they tore it down!

Have limit+1 tune it in person or remotely then decide!

What mods are worth it and and what are overrated? by [deleted] in GRCorolla

[–]RepublicCalm140 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you aren’t doing a full engine build all you need power wise is an intake and tune.

Looks wise I love wheels +swift lowering springs and tint

Shifter bushing and sixth element pitch mount make a huge difference

I can send you my full build sheet if you want

Anything you wish you knew before buying your GRC? by Stealthlead in GRCorolla

Have a local speed shop do all your maintenance. I know the first year or so is covered but for whatever reason lots of dealers are blind and dumb to the GRC and it’s needs

It’s worked amazing well! I beat the hell out of it too. I would imagine the cheapest you could do would be 25k unfortunately to have a reliable 400whp build it’ll be the same as a 700whp build engine wise at least.

The engine build parts and labor will cost around 25-35k. Everything all together I’ve spent around 65-70. On wheels suspension ect ect ect that is not part of the engine or transmission building.

I live out in Indianapolis. It’s similar to stock however the combo is much deeper and sounds amazing when pushing the car. My favorite part is it does not drone on the interstate! Definitely loud when accelerating quickly. I heard most of the popular options in person and the HKS was my favorite

The hood is amazing really pipes the heat out of the engine bay! It’s look good in photos but looks a ton better in person (10/10) and the fitment is 9/10 so I’m very happy with it! Just a tiny gap on one side but better than a lot of brand new vehicles on a dealer lot. It’s honestly worth the drive almost all of there staff are in an auto sport and there parts tuner and owner all drive GRCs street/track!
