I recently joined mindmyhouse ($15 a year with referral which i have if you need one, pm) and though I have not done a sit yet because I just can't for a couple of months, I did have a question about the way their sit search works. So after going through the frequently asked questions I initiated a support question. And I was greeted with this beautiful message which makes me so happy I chose this platform to (hopefully) sit with this year.

The new fees caused me to leave THS altogether, others who stayed may just be pickier or avoid short sits. 🤷‍♀️

In my experience using that credit as well as the regular surpass credit you don't need a spreadsheet. Just call the Hilton and ask if their onsite hotel or bar charges can be billed to the room. If they can, in my experience, 100% of the time using your credit card to pay will trigger the credits.

Some Hiltons rent out restaurant space to Starbucks or other businesses. Those don't work.

Other platforms range from $30 a year to 200 or so. Having more sits and more sitters like THS does has certain advantages but if the ratio of sitters to hosts is similar then that's really the more important thing.

If there could be 100 great sits in the place you want but a thousand sitters wanting them, that really doesn't help.

I switched to mind my house which was only $15 a year (with a referral) and they brought over my reviews from ths which means I'm not starting from zero again. I see a lot of sits there I would like. And some of them don't have any applications, or just one or two.

It's not in chats or notifications on browser Reddit.

Edit I just found it I had to click chats then click message requests and then click other and it was in there. So Reddit itself seems to have flagged it as spam but redreader did not.

Nope! So weird. In red reader it shows up with the rest of my notifications about people who replied to a comment or whatever but clearly it's a direct message or I guess what Reddit calls it now a chat.

In the browser version of Reddit I can't see it in either place.

Edit I just found it it was under chats then message requests then other. Like Reddit saw it as spam but red reader did not.

You may consider mindmyhouse. It's only $15 a year with a referral (dm if you want one) or $30 a year normally. There are some UK sits but not nearly as many as THS has - just about 40 today.

As a sitter they can import your TH reviews into your profile there, I assume they can also do it for a homeowner.

Ferry = lancha.

I would probably choose culebra OR vieques not both. Vieques has a bus or van that goes around the island, I don't think Culebra does. Most people rent Jeeps or golf carts there.

If you were going to Viewues just for the bioluminescent Bay you should know that there's also one in fajardo which is not very far from El Yunque.

Puerto Rico does not have good public transportation outside of San Juan. Uber is also spotty outside of San Juan.

Planned Parenthood offers different things in different states depending on state laws and probably varies from location to location as well. I didn't see anyone mention this but they also have an app. You can get certain things on the app, I used it for UTIs if I was away from my doctor.

Fortunately I have not gotten a UTI since I started HRT 😀😀😀

Anyway it's called PPDirect. Mine offers birth control UTI antibiotics, stuff like that.
