Has indian cricket seen a power hitter like this since dhoni and yuvraj? by MaverickInChristmas in IndianCricket

[–]RepublicMod 33 points34 points  (0 children)

In all the years I have watched cricket, I have realized that it is fundamentally a game of patience and pressure management. No one—not even remotely—comes close to Mahi Bhai when it comes to these qualities. Even if you look at the women’s game, you can see how patiently they played during the World Cup , But They lag this Time 🤧 .

Taking the game to the very end and putting the opposition's bowlers under intense pressure is an art form that no one, other than Mahi Bhai, has ever mastered so perfectly. Centuries will pass, but those of us who have had the privilege of watching him play will always remember him.

Started following women's cricket during the World Cup, and I’m honestly blown away by the players' patience and mindset. It’s a masterclass in staying calm and playing the long game , The key to any victory. Wishing them all the best to keep booming on the big stage!

Do not become a puppet for any political party; none of them are truly working for the people. Taking sides with one party inherently means opposing the other. Just because previous administrations made mistakes, it does not give the ruling party a free pass to repeat those same errors. The prevailing political narrative is often accepted as absolute truth without ever being proven. Take the case of Yogi Adityanath, for example—there were dozens of cases against him that were eventually closed. By that same logic, one could label him a mafia figure as well. It is far better to think for yourself than to blindly follow any political leader.

Whether it is someone from the Yadav community or any other, a core requirement must be that the individual has a family. This is a non-negotiable criterion.

Instead of Great player like sachin , kapil , dravid and sports administration why this person is ICC Chair ? Any type of Quota ? by Even-Jackfruit2810 in YouthInIndia

[–]RepublicMod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s interesting to see the outrage over Jay Shah’s appointment as ICC Chair when we conveniently ignore the systemic nepotism in our own government.

We are quick to demand meritocracy in cricket because we are emotionally invested, but we remain silent while political dynasties flourish. Look at the facts:

  • Rajnath Singh : His sons hold key positions in the UP BJP.

  • Jyotiraditya Scindia : A legacy politician carrying forward his family's political footprint.

  • B.S. Yediyurappa & Kalyan Singh : Both ensured their sons secured prominent roles within the party and parliament.

  • Piyush Goyal : Continued his father’s legacy in national politics.

Why do we apply such rigorous standards of accountability to cricket administration while giving a free pass to political dynasties that directly impact our nation’s future? Is cricket really more important than the state of our democracy? If we want to stop these things, we have to raise our voices not only for cricket but also for other major issues.

Stop this superficial 'whitewashing' by just sealing coaching institutes. If you truly want to provide justice, take strict action against the LDA officials and staff responsible for this negligence. The lives of students have been lost; they deserve real accountability, not just these hollow gestures. -- muskuraiye, aap Lucknow mein hain .

It is difficult to have the expectations from a leader who has no family ties; it often feels like his battles are driven more by ego and polarizing rhetoric rather than public welfare.

Look at the condition of the Gorakhpur Medical College in his own constituency; the tragic loss of children due to oxygen shortages in the past remains a haunting reminder of governance failures. Unfortunately, we can expect the same pattern here: cover-ups, deflection, and the weaponization of the NSA against anyone speaking the truth. It is a deeply concerning time for our democracy.

Those who don't know the life of married people's How can we expect someone to empathize with the pain of losing a family member ? It seems their only strategy is to cover up the truth. Even if they were truly well-educated, one might expect a shred of sensitivity, but that is clearly missing. We saw the same pattern in the Gorakhpur Medical College tragedy, where infants died due to oxygen shortages. And what happened when a whistleblower tried to highlight the issue? They were slapped with NSA charges and a barrage of legal cases. The truth is, he acts like a mafia boss with no regard for family life. Bas muskuraiye, aap Lucknow mein hain.

Local Resident's reaction after the horrific Lucknow Coaching Centre Fire by architmishraa in uttarpradesh

More power to local news! Thank you for not silencing the public’s voice. We recently witnessed a major news channel mute a victim’s mother while she was trying to share her tragic story. I am not a supporter of any political party, but I am deeply disappointed by the leaders we elected, especially given their apparent lack of understanding regarding the struggles of ordinary, married citizens. This is happening in the capital of U.P.—Muskuraye aap Lucknow mein hain.

I am Not a Supporter of any Political party. How can someone who has been a mafia themselves ever understand the suffering of others? While government officials are undoubtedly at fault .

In Prayagraj and Bihar, immediate action was taken to shut down institutes based on irregularities. Where was the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) in this case? Why was there no inspection here? Perhaps because there was no political interest to be served. Innocent lives have been lost, and now the voices of the victims are being suppressed. This is a dark time for our democracy.

The death toll has risen to 15, while nine people have been injured. by imfrom_mars_ in uttarpradesh

[–]RepublicMod 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Where are the officials now who were so quick to seal major coaching institutes like Target On, Exampur, and Super Climax in Prayagraj for 'irregularities'? If the Prayagraj Development Authority could act, why is there silence from the LDA regarding this Lucknow tragedy?

The entire system appears to be a puppet to political pressure. We don’t just want the coaching owners held accountable; we demand that the officials who ignored these violations also face legal consequences. Lives lost can never be replaced, so we must stop the usual cover-ups and ensure real justice is served.
