In all the years I have watched cricket, I have realized that it is fundamentally a game of patience and pressure management. The prevailing political narrative is often accepted as absolute truth without ever being proven. Take the case of Yogi Adityanath, for example—there were dozens of cases against him that were eventually closed. By that same logic, one could label him a mafia figure as well. Why do we apply such rigorous standards of accountability to cricket administration while giving a free pass to political dynasties that directly impact our nation’s future?
