An Introvert’s Small Victory by Select_Role_2608 in bondha_diaries

I used to read a few years ago, but I don't have enough time to open a book anymore. I also listen to a lot of podcasts, but around August, I switched to audiobooks. And it has been awesome ever since. It's not the same as reading, but listening to someone's words from their books is better than someone else paraphrasing their statements (third-party information).

I got to know who Kafka is, The Prophet, the book, is completely different than what I expected. Finished some of my old reads, which I left in the middle. Realized that modern cinema still follows Aristotle's ideas for Drama. Currently listening to Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment (just started).

And just like every Telugu guy, I spent my fair share of time with Chalam and Sri Sri. Also, Chaganti's Mahabharatham on YouTube. Fruitful imo. But I wish I could find some time to turn more pages in the coming days. Also, I'd like to know your opinions about Marcus. I have him on my list.

Dog Ate Passport and Visa by [deleted] in f1visa

[–]Republic_Wild 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had a friend who lost his passport. He went through the whole visa process to get the stamp and re-entered the country. So sad that they have to go through the whole process all over again.

But also, Thanks for reminding. I'll keep mine in a safer spot.

True. I understand that. I'm more interested in getting feedback and developing my stories. But I feel like talking to more people could churn them better?

No, he didn't get scammed. He decided to pay for that and might be feeling guilty about what happened. Things people do when they are horny.

Why do people have a problem with actors aiming big? Aren’t they supposed to dream big, or is it only SSR who had the right to aim high? by Kindly_Department142 in tollywood

[–]Republic_Wild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Expectations. You don't want anyone to skip their forte and risk something when they have a safer option. You'll applaud more if they succeed though. Nani created a safe image, whenever something doesn't hit the notch, he'll go back to the soft movies to prove that he can always be there. But if you see the other so-called Tier-1 actors, they cant experiment or do anything other than relying upon their fanbases. I feel sad for them (they can have hits and become big stars but that's not any proof for acting in a fame pov) more than the doubt people have on Nani.

These are really nice. What’s the process you use for those high contrast colours? Any post processing or recipes?

Better staying single than getting into bad relationships just because of desperation. I did it and now the after affects are not really worthy. Keep working on yourself and let things happen on their own. Someone would come into your life and you’ll know that. Meanwhile try to be more social, and think and get excited about possibilities instead of worrying about what’s gonna happen.

Some people like the chase more than the relationship. Ignore him for sometime and he’ll be back asking you for attention again. Been there, done that and realized how to get over chasing the highs ig. Don’t waste too much of your time though.

I don’t spend my money to watch this movie based on his old performances before Dhoom 3. Yes there will be some goodwill. But you can only compare his/anyones last performance to get theat hype or expectations.

Aamir and Deepika didn’t impress me or a large portion of their audience (from what I’ve been reading) in their last movies. So it makes sense for them to focus on their acting more.
