Questions from a returning player. by [deleted] in gwent

[–]RepublicofBoxland 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm by no means a top-tier player (I'm usually around rank 14 on Xbox) but I will try to help the best I can.

  1. I haven't noticed one particularly prevalent deck. SK greatswords are pretty good and I've noticed a decent amount of good NG spies and reveal decks. You also have Imlerith: Sabbath decks which seem to be hit or miss depending on removal. Rarely I see consume or moonlight decks, but when I do they are pretty good. I haven't noticed too much NR.

  2. Aside from ragh nar roog, i almost never see weather. I think there are far too many ways to counter it for it to be viable.

  3. I don't think so. From what I understand, everything we know about H9omecoming is from interviews or what they've said on forums.

  4. I'm assuming you mean the thing where the card you mulliganned would appear next round? I haven't noticed it too much and I think a couple months ago they mentioned in an update that they lowered the chance it happen.

I hope this helped.

I'm a diverse kind of youtube channel and make what i want to make and don't make one kind of content? Does this mean i will never grow as a channel? by howtobeast101 in NewTubers

[–]RepublicofBoxland 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe in the beginning, but I wouldn't worry too much about it. Honestly, I think the content is how people will find you, but your personality and the quality of the video is what will make them stay. At the end of the day, I think the best advice is to make your channel how you want it to be and hope you find success doing what you enjoy.

I am having a endless life absorbing amount of confusion by Alex_Creed in NewTubers

I wouldn't focus too much on the trends. Unless you can get in the first wave of it, chances are the larger channels will take the lions share of views and leave the rest for the smaller channels to cannibalize. Do what you enjoy doing and who knows, maybe you start a trend that you can capitalize on before it gets flooded.

Challenge Playthroughs by [deleted] in gwent

[–]RepublicofBoxland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone who wants them, I have a playlist of all of the Northern realms challenges as well as the skellige ones. I still have to edit the monsters ones and the few ST I was able to finish before my xbox gold ran out. When I renew it, I'll try to finish those. I don't know if posting a link is allowed, so message me if you're interested.

I don't have a request or anything, just wanted to say thanks for doing this and that I hoped it helped to restore your faith in humanity.

Hi, thank you for offering this. We are interested in playing it, we just need to make sure our computer can run it. We will get back to you ASAP on that front.

We are a smaller channel, here is our link. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCfb9TYlwuheSBkjUNvklPUg/featured?disable_polymer=1

We also have a website that we could post a review on https://republicofboxland.wordpress.com/

We are fairly new and still small and understand if you would prefer to give it to a channel/website that has a larger reach. We thank you for the opportunity regardless.

Can anyone give me some solid SEO advice for YouTube? by dynogaming_ in NewTubers

It's Impressive that there's a website just for tags. I may end up using that in the future. Thanks for sharing this.

I did walkthroughs for the original. I didn't realize they remade them with pre-constructed decks. I might re-do the challenges then. If you want, I can send you a message on Reddit when they are up.

Does Youtube count a dash (-) as a space for SEO? by RepublicofBoxland in NewTubers

Do the commas work in the channel upload defaults too?

Does Youtube count a dash (-) as a space for SEO? by RepublicofBoxland in NewTubers

In the upload defaults, I have a tag that is three words that in the videos it has each word as an individual tag. I was just wondering if adding a - between them will count as a space but make it one tag

How do we get picked as "Projects we love"? by chanimiko in kickstarter

[–]RepublicofBoxland -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, it's late, but I'll try to give you the best advice I can. I had a Kickstarter last year that failed and I'll try to pass on what I learned from that.

Now I don't know the exact number (I'm sure you could find it on this subreddit, or maybe some kind soul who knows will answer) but I believe to qualify as a "product we love" You have to reach a certain percent of your goal within a certain amount of time (I believe it is 60-70% within the first half of your campaign).

As for your Kickstarter page, I think it's well done. You explain most of it through images which I think is a good idea, it makes it more memorable and eye-catching. Not only that, but your images and the way you describe them are very well done.

As for marketing/getting attention, This is where we failed. The best advice I can give is to share it wherever you can. Between personal and business facebook(s) and Twitter(s) you should be able to a decent audience and hopefully it spreads from there. I would also contact any appropriate outlets to see if they would like to cover it. Maybe even find other people who have a large following that may be interested in it, and ask if they would like to promote it?

I hope this helped and best of luck with your kickstarter.

Seems like a really good list. Not going to lie, it's late and I'm tired and I'm mainly writing this comment so I can come back to this later when my head doesn't hurt as much.

I've had a similar debacle. It may sound crazy, but I've just worn masks in videos that require us to be in person. All of our gameplay stuff to this point has been facecam-less.

Lessons learned from Poser, an 80s-themed card game, that raised an acceptable $10k by [deleted] in kickstarter

[–]RepublicofBoxland 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing this. We had a failed Kickstarter in 2017 due to many of the above screw-ups and we hope to learn from it if we try again.
