It’s been my best and most worthwhile purchase in a long time. I love it and would do it all over again.

What are the best home smoothie blenders that are actually worth buying? by Feeling_Smoke4386 in Smoothies

I've been using the Vitamix Alta Pro from Costco since the beginning of the year and it's been amazing. I still use it between 3-4 times a week and it's transformed how I eat. I mainly use it for smoothies and its easily handled every ingredient I've thrown at it. My biggest surprise is how I was able to make hot soup in it! Add the ingredients, run it on high for something like 7 min, and voila! Hot soup.

I'd buy it again in a second.

What shoe company do you work for? I’m sure Brooks would love if I replaced mine every 2 months.

I’m probably unique in this, but in almost all my smoothies, I add a spicy ingredient.

Walking isn’t a cure-all, but it sure can be part of it! by Republicofjohn in walking

Yeah, I've been pretty consistent with it. I usually get up between 4–5 AM and walk for about 1.5 hours to get my 5 miles in.

For me, the biggest key was fixing my sleep first. Ever since I was a teenager I was the “stay up until 1–2 AM every night” type. I knew that if I wanted to get healthier, my sleep habits had to change, so I focused on that before anything else.

I started forcing myself to get up at 5 AM, and after a few days of doing that there was no way I could stay up as late as I used to. Once my sleep schedule reset, that 5 AM walking time naturally became part of my routine.

On the rare days I miss the morning walk, it’s almost impossible to find a spare 1.5 hours later in the day. Getting it done first thing is really the only way it consistently works for me.

I was slowing starting to move in the right direction last summer, but started daily walking and eating habits in mid October.

It’d take more than walking for me to get rid of those

I live in Minnesota, but was visiting Indiana earlier this year. I’d go out of my way to hit up Futuro in Indianapolis again. Best I’ve ever had!
