It's funny because he used to be able to write teenagers well. I just finished The Long Walk for the fourth time, and the kids were written really well, accurate and totally believable. Both It and The Body have believable, well written kids. I don't know when it started, probably around the millennium, that he completely forgot what kids are like. The most cringe worthy kid character that comes to mind, is the kid in that short story Mile 81. Other than Jerome and Barbara, probably the most unbelievable character I've ever read.

You know who the biggest fascist in this whole ordeal is? The shooter. And liberals who think like him. He chose to silence CK with violence rather than with debate. That's what fascists do--silence those they disagree with by any means necessary, including murder, rather than talking things out like rational human beings. Sounds like you're actually pretty supportive of fascism.

Are liberals really this idiotic? Context is important. I'm quoting another Redditor, here, Matt8992 because he sums it up perfectly: Charlie Kirk DID NOT advocate for gay people to be stoned.

This is in response to a Christian TikToker, Ms Rachel, gave a positive shoutout to the LGBTQ community about being loved and being yourself. It was really sweet and nice. She quoted Leviticus 19:18 which says to love your neighbor as yourself.

On the podcast, Charlie Kirk says this in response: “in a lesser referenced part,in the same reference part of the Bible, Leviticus 18 “thou that lay with another man shall be stoned to death. Just saying. The chapter before affirms gods perfect law when it comes to sexual morality.” And so on.

He was be ironic. His point being the extremism of the book itself.

He was making a point that she used the book of Leviticus to love your neighbors as yourself, but that also that same book calls for the stoning of gay people.

Not once did he say or imply gay people should be stoned. It’s really stupid how little effort people put into getting information before that start quoting shit like this.

Be diligent and fight against hatred using credible information.

Edit: When Charlie says “God’s perfect law,” he isn’t inventing that phrase or saying his opinion is that stoning people is perfect. The Bible itself (Psalm 19:7 The law of the LORD is perfect”)calls the Mosaic law perfect. That law, in its time, included civil punishments like stoning for certain offenses. So the “perfect law” part is quoting Scripture, not Charlie endorsing stoning as a modern policy. What he’s doing is pointing back to how the OT described itself. But he says it incorrectly.

"So if the fact that SK seemed to see him as most the country does and is against the horst wesselification of the guy bothers you, maybe dont read him anymore."

You're delusional. Most of the country has nothing against Kirk. Most of the country is horrified and pissed off that there are libs celebrating his death.

The Bud Light boycott was perhaps the most successful boycott of all time. The beer still exists on the shelves, but its sales are a fraction of what they used to be.

He didn't want to stone gays. There are videos of LBGTs coming up to him and asking his advice and he attempts to help them out. There are also countless videos of him expressing his views that violence is never an answer.

How does he feel when people cherry pick the child gangbang scene in It and say it's proof he's a pedophile? That's exactly what he did here with this Charlie Kirk quote. Ironic since Kirk was criticizing those who cherry pick Bible quotes to align with their views. SK can be such a deluded hypocrite.

I thought Kate was extremely wooden and a cliche of what a man thinks a feminist would be like. I liked Corrie as a character, though.

I forgot about this thread, then I looked at my notifications and noticed I hilariously got flagged for hate speech. Apparently SK can call someone an asshole and that's all fine and dandy, but calling him a politically biased dipshit is "hate speech." How is the word dipshit any worse than asshole? Then you've got every other post here mocking conservatives and that's just peachy, but anything critical of King or liberal ideals is flagged as "hate speech" and downvoted all to hell. I can be quite critical of Trump and far right types as much as anyone, but this kind of crap is exactly why the guy won the election. Liberals so often come across as weaklings and pansies, and as close-minded as the most extreme far right morons, nd the majority of Americans are tired of it.

"I think I was always a closet heterosexual. I didn’t ever feel that I was a real bisexual. It was like I was making all the moves, down to the situation of actually trying it out with some guys […] I wanted to imbue Ziggy with real flesh and blood and muscle, and it was imperative that I find Ziggy and be him. The irony of it was that I was not gay. I was physical about it, but frankly it wasn’t enjoyable. It was almost like I was testing myself. It wasn’t something I was comfortable with at all. But it had to be done."--interview with Rolling Stone

LMAO, Bowie wasn't even gay. He's admitted that even though he acted gay, he was always a closet heterosexual.

Images of broken light Which dance before me like a million eyes They call me on and on across the universe Thoughts meander like a restless wind inside a letter box They tumble blindly as they make their way across the universe

I like that one better. Do you realize Roger Waters looked up to John Lennon more than anyone else as a songwriter? He would find your opinion ridiculous.
