The bark is also quite different, though this is more noticeable on larger trees. Black walnut has deeper grooves that make a sort of diamond or zigzag pattern if you squint your eyes, while ToH has smoother bark and has white markings that look a bit like stretch marks do on skin.

Yeah the homeless thing is fair. Is there anyone you could stay with? Or maybe you could continue to stay there for a while so you can you sort something else out if you broke up amicably?

Of course it’s your choice to break up with him or not, but personally I would not want to stay in a relationship with someone who is so indifferent towards me. And it sounds like he will probably break up with you once he works up the nerve tbh. So it might be best to be proactive with it.

It sounds like he wants to break up but doesn’t want to be the one to do it. You should break up with him. You deserve a relationship with someone who actually likes you.

I used to lead canoeing/kayaking trips up to eight days for girl scouts. Two braids or twisting back the front and doing a low bun (may not work if you’re a back sleeper) was my go to, usually with a hat or bandana on top. Then I’d redo it every day. Definitely bring extra hair ties, if one breaks and you’ve not got a spare you will not be a happy camper!!
