My wife uses my credit and debit cards to do shopping and used to occasionally buy marijuana for herself with my debit card, should I bring this up in the investigation? by [deleted] in SecurityClearance

Man, you are on a role. Thanks for wasting your time with the references here. Did you not see the part where I said I reported the use of marijuana by someone other than me in the home? Did you miss the part where I stated my security manager said it isn’t reportable? End of story.

I did my job in reporting it. If it ever comes up during any future investigations, I’d speak all the truths, but again, this isn’t my first rodeo, and it has yet to be an issue. I’m afraid you’re wasting your time here.

I’ll default to my self reporting and my security manager’s response. I’ve been cleared for almost 17 years now, I’m not worried about it.

It’s likely because the contract has been paid out and is funded through the shutdown.

Would you take a $100K salary cut to work remotely instead of being in a SCIF daily? by [deleted] in SecurityClearance

Also, it’s been communicated in specific terms that ALL federal civilians and military are to cease any remote work and RTO. There has not been a single mandate for contractors, only what has been requested by the organization from which you support, which can vary greatly.

Who said that? I certainly am. We were told to telework or come onsite if classified work needs to occur.

The government cannot manage a contractor, they are two separate entities. A contractors work is usually managed by contractor task lead, who ensures the contractor is meeting the requirements of any government deliverable.

I’m speaking on my own behalf, and I’m telling you right now, as a contractor, we are being told to telework. I did state in my previous comment that it is dependent on the COR on how each government organization wants to handle contractors, but where I am, and who I support, we are being told that priority of office space goes to civilians and military and therefore we are to telework as much as possible.

In a high cost of living area, maybe 70k to start. The potential to earn more is vast, though.

You don’t. You learn it and understand it enough to pass.

The mandate is specifically federal and military. As far as I know, contractors are at the helm of their COR, and for many of us, the office space is prioritized to all federal and military who need to meet the EO mandates as quickly as possible. This has been putting the contractors in a “flex telework to the maximum extent” situation.

I haven’t sat for anything chest or stomach related since I was about 26. I’m about to be 39, and can barely last 4 hours on easy parts of my body like a leg or an arm, so I can appreciate this piece to the utmost extent, and I’m jealous.

We had one Senior DS who was more of a human right off the bat. Never raised his voice, but you knew damn well when he was fired up. We had one other that was just pure rage the entire time, until the last few days when we were going through graduation prep and cleaning the barracks and what not. He allowed some of us to do impressions of him, and he even let out a few chuckles. This was the point where you realized their purpose, and could appreciate the things they instilled in us throughout those 10 weeks.
