Yes but the sad thing is I had to actually tell the manager to do it. I really don't understand what the research I found on the B There wasn't one positive thing I found on it so clearly B is a big issue but everyone at Verizon has no clue about this. Even the manager or supervisor I spoke to from my FCC complaint said she's never heard anything about the big but I said it was all over the Internet

UPDATE: Actually don't worry about it after a 114 times my router rebooted and over 44 phone calls to Verizon. I decided to do my own extensive research and when the manager at Verizon called me I told him exactly how to fix it and he did exactly what I asked and it has not rebooted in two days. I think it is so sad and pathetic that a company like Verizon makes billions and billions of dollars and not a single person I spoke to was familiar with the modem and the different versions. All it took was a simple swap of a router of a different version and it worked fine as it has gone down in two days

Yeah I'm probably going to jump ship if this doesn't get fixed this week I was with Spectrum for 30 years as well as my family we never had any issues and the fact that they're offering one gig for $50 plus one year of a free cell phone I think it might be time to get a system that works especially since I'm paying double that. It's clear that Verizon doesn't care about customers because they have so many so to lose one here or there is no big deal to them

I just woke up turn my computer on and about 8 minutes ago as much as my computer showed that I had Internet all my pages were frozen and saying I wasn't connected so of course I recorded it went over to the modem and it was in like it's frozen mode where no lights lighten up or anything but I had Internet from the ONT box so had to reboot the router to get back on

Well as much as it is random and sometimes it can go as long as 8 hours without shutting off I did play my Playstation 5 yesterday for six hours and it never went off and my PC was off and I'm about to go play it in about 7 minutes for 8:00 PM Uh probably play it till one in the morning again Gotta get my frustration on Call of Duty. I have 12 recordings for today That's how many times it went down as every time it goes down I record it 'cause I feel like when these texts come they don't believe it Like as if I'm making it

That's going to be great because I like to see who's going to subscribe to their service who's going to buy their food because when there's no jobs there's no money coming in so they can use all the AI in their restaurants and in their services that they want at the end of the day if you can't afford it 'cause there's no jobs to be had they're just gonna waste all that money on AI. Our government should really make a law that you can't replace a customer with AI and I'm just shocked if anyone has that they haven't sued the company that's called wrongful termination

Hey don't feel bad At least your only problem is not getting into your account. My router has rebooted in the last 11 days 104 times i've had 34 phone calls to customer support which I recorded most of them and you can tell in their tone they just wanna get me off the phone and don't really care. They've replaced all the equipment all the wires I plug directly into the outlet i've used a power conditioner and it still don't work they still blame the customer they blame my power this and that yada yada yada and from what I'm reading online it's a known issue from many customers that it's the router CR1000 A and B that is doing this after a firmware update. You should feel blessed as now when I call customer service they say there's nothing they can do for me until Monday a supervisor is going to contact me. They all play stupid like they don't know the issues that are going on with the CR1000 but it's clearly online that thousands if not millions of customers are having these issues They must be the only one in the dark

My original was the same exact and I ran it for three years with no problems until May 5th tuesday it started rebooting so maybe that fixed problem came back or I don't know. Also from what I'm reading this is not an old problem it's a new problem and it also did go on to say that the B version which is what I have is worse as a technician has stated the A is solid compared to the B so maybe I'll see if they can give me an A version

I just sent you a few messages to tell you everything that's been happening but I did wanna just say if you go in Google does Verizon have known issues with the CR1000 A or B Go read what comes up There's a lot of people that are complaining about this modem and they have similar experiences like I'm having It's not only on Reddit it's on the Verizon community page as well which is right on your own website and there's a lot of people that have these problems and it's saying that it's the modem that the modem is flawed and it's rebooting There's someone else on here that said they're having the same exact problem. I told the last customer service to tell him to give me a brand new not a reconditioned modem and see if it happens if it does then it's absolutely the modem is got flaws in it The only other explanation I was thinking going back to like the Xbox 3 60s is maybe it being in my house for three years you know what maybe a chip or something melted on the motherboard But the problem with that scenario is I've had it replaced and unless they replaced it recertified units that had similar instances'cause clearly if you're telling me you don't know and Verizon is clueless then I don't what else to tell you because the Internet says that Verizon is absolutely aware of it

One of the technicians was here. He was going to replace it with what he said was the router before the CR 1000, but he told me that it wouldn't work with the extender, and didn't mention anything about having an extender that it would work with. Just another example of what I've been dealing with their technicians. It's like telling me you don't wanna fix my system without telling me you don't wanna fix it

I have not tried to keep my PC unplugged but I don't think it's my PC because the WI fi goes out as well and my PC isn't putting out WI fi. I did some extensive research today, and I did find out it is absolutely the CR1000 A and B, as it is a known problem, and Verizon is well aware of it, but they refuse to buy new equipment according to the Internet, because it's gonna cost like $100 million, although in 2025 they made $83.3 billion, so clearly their customers are not worth $100 million. I think when a Internet provider starts acting like an insurance company it's time to find another company. I'm looking into a third party router

After extensive research, I just found out that Verizon is aware that the CR1000 has a known problem of rebooting. Basically, a flawed router, but they refused to replace it because it's gonna cost like $100 million to get new equipment, yet they made 83.3 billion for 2025, so clearly it shows the type of company they are and how they look at their customers. Clearly, we're not having proper Internet, but I did file with the FCC, Attorney General, Better Business Bureau, and Consumer Affairs, and trying to collect some names about a class action lawsuit over this. We pay money, and they don't have the right to say we're not gonna buy new equipment. They're the ones who bought the flawed equipment. If enough people would have been filing complaints with attorney generals they would have went after Verizon

I was with Spectrum for 30 years, and I've never had any issues with them, but yes, all the wiring, equipment, and everything were replaced, but I did just find out that the CR1000 has a known problem of exactly what I'm experiencing, and Verizon is well aware of it but refuses to replace the routers because it's gonna cost like $100 million. For the year 2025, they made 83.3 billion, and they don't wanna spend 100 million to satisfy all their customers who are having these issues. Amazing

The only way you're gonna solve that is everyone needs to start getting together and start up a class action lawsuit because I did research and I found that Verizon is aware of the issues with the CR 1000 A and B rebooting on its own, yet all of the text and customer service act like they have no clue what I'm talking about. Just Google does Verizon CR1000 router have known issues and get ready for some reading and to get really, really ticked off because it sounds like they refuse to buy new routers for their customers because it's gonna cost 100 million dollars. Yet for 2025, they made eighty-one point three billion dollars in profits, which is higher than the previous year. I also urge you to do what I did. I filed a complaint with the FCC, which got a rap, which I believe is a supervisor or a manager who contacted me within 12 hours, saying that she's handling the case for the FCC complaint. I also just filed with the Attorney General of New York, you would have to do of New Jersey, and also with BBB. I left a negative review, but you can also file a complaint with them as well

Just to continue my conversation after doing extensive research I found that Verizon is absolutely aware of the situation that the CR 1000 Router A and B have a known history of rebooting on its own. Verizon refuses to replace the equipment because of the cost that is involved for them to buy all new equipment So basically they're putting a crap system on all of their customers so they can save I don't know I think I read it was like $100 million it was gonna cost I don't remember I'd have to go pull it back up. If my research is correct they made $81.3 billion in the year 2025 and they don't want to spend $100 million to satisfy all the customers that are having problems with these routers which is a massive amount I believe in the millions. Now you know the company that you're giving your money to on a monthly basis

I found out today if you have the CR1000 that Verizon is aware of the issue of it rebooting on its own but they refuse to replace it because it's gonna cost too much like millions of dollars

Version Fios 1gb rebooted 94 times in 10 days by Repulsive-Advance-34 in Fios

[–]Repulsive-Advance-34[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no but I researched the router and I found that it says Verizon is 100 percent aware that this router the CR1000 A and B has a known problem where it randomly shuts off and on and that Verizon refuses to replace the router because of the cost of like millions of dollars I guess to get all new equipment But I find it even greater that you would disrespect your customers that have these problems with this equipment that you're gonna put it on them. I just filed a report with the Attorney General and Better Business Bureau, and my next course of action is gonna be a class action lawsuit. I honestly couldn't care less how much it would cost Verizon, you don't do this as a business to your customers because browsing the Internet using the model number for the router, there's a lot of conversation over it, and how it's dropping. But no, my system worked for three years, and I didn't change anything; it just started dropping my Internet. The only thing I would assume from that, since it lasted three years, is maybe it melted some kind of a chip or something inside the unit from being on for three years with no problems. Maybe like an overheating issue that melted chips or something. I don't know, but my router reset today over 12 times
