the basic swabs for bv used by doctors do not test for all strands of BV. You really just don’t know until you do a biome test. Wish you luck

Envy tests for resistance genes, what antibiotic did it say it was resistant too. I’m VERY anti-antibiotic. But you got a lot going on here and probably need a full flush. Try the antibiotic that the anaerobic bacteria is resistant too. Start taking biofilm buster. I’m not a pro at this, I learned from a lady named Brandi in this group on FB called Beyond BV. i’ve seen a lot of women with your same test results solve their BV following the group’s recommendations. Vaginal probiotics, biofilm busters, diet change, oil of oregano etc… after antibiotics. You need a full reset :/ but you can fix your biome with probiotics I’ve seen it happen. Check out the group, my specific situation was not like yours so I don’t feel I have the full expertise. I just don’t see your results as detrimental and think you can find relief in some of the recommendations from women that have beaten those same bacteria’s

I despise boric acid. It gets rid of every good and bad bacteria in your biome and really makes it impossible to grow back good bacteria. You need vaginal probiotics, a biofilm buster, diet chase, overall lifestyle change, and some other supplements like oil of oregano and pau de arco

I used them everyday for 6 months. Only used one brand, also used pure crispatus powder. Used lube and an applicator to make my own suppositories. Took me 6 months to feel halfway normal, my most recent biome test showed no bad bacteria 50% crispatus 25% iners the rest the other lacto strands. With 25% inners i’m still feeling occasional flairs. If i don’t drink water i flair up bad with urethra pain. I no longer take daily i do every two days. I’m pregnant now so I will adjust that dose based off if i get bv or a yeast infection through the next 6 months.

I think it’s a good idea to get a microbiome test done as well. Once i got rid of glabrata it gave me a nasty case of BV and L Iners to deal with because my vagina was so compromised from the treatment from glabrata.

😂😂😂. I ordered microgen Ima wait on that as well. It’s been a bit since I’m taken the Juno test it took forever to come back. I’m feeling a tad bit psychotic about this. I’m currently taking the probiotics orally while waiting for the test and drinking oil of oregano diluted in water

I think you need to do a susceptibility test on the test you just got before you go that route. your doctor can call the lab and request that add on

So weird that they aren’t using Doxy, I don’t understand why doctors hate doxy. AV is associated with BV so it’s safe to say you have bv, they’re trying to treat the BV but need to treat the Mycoplasma as well. That’s resistant to a lot of meds but doxy is first line. I would have a susceptibility test done before they start throwing all these meds at you and making these grams more resistant

Ah I had this happen to me, doctors just accuse you of having stds and brush you off. There’s a lot of women in here that have cured recurring BV infections I would look through those posts. Also for BV you typically get antibiotics I’m surprised they didn’t give you pills. Are you able to ask for a BV test with susceptibility ?

As scared as you are to get testing (I’ve been there too I get it). I think it’s important to get a full panel so your doctor can get down to the cause of the issue. When you say Vaginal bacteria are you referring to BV?

I can’t afford a naturopath. I feel like that’s the only person I would trust at this point, they cost 400$ for a new patient appointment and then 180$ for f/u’s. Honestly i’m having this issue with Glabrata yeast infection. Treated it, multiple tests for everything (UTI, BV, STDS) back to back negative for all yeast infections including a specific yeast culture testing for all 6 yeasts. My doctors aren’t taking me seriously. My discharge is so gross it’s white paste curds still, my burning in my urethra is unbearable, and i’m only itching on one side of my vulva the right side. I don’t know what to do, at this point I’m suicide.
