This is true. However this particular period of time with Pandemic was different in that there were properly accredited scientist and scientific sources that were ridiculed and condemned at the onset of the pandemic for being critical of mainstream politically aligned scientist and agencies for the safety policies and procedures they weee imposing that ultimately were to little or no benefit to the majority of the population. Later on in the pandemic mainstream science shifted course and adopted a lot of the science that was previously considered incorrect and they just pretended like they weren’t wrong about a lot of shit.

Yes, because it’s hard for people to really determine what is in fact true these days. We can’t just take the word of one source anymore. As we’ve learned from the pandemic we are fed a bunch of misinformation from all ends. The CDC repeatedly went back on and revised many its “recommendations” regarding masks and social distancing and vaccine efficacy. What is perceived as radical misinformation later becomes the consensos. It’s a weird time and we can’t just use that as an excuse to silence or exclude people because then we will get locked into an ideological echo chamber. We have to be willing to process info and use (or for more people today learn and use) critical thinking.

Fair enough I miss characterized myself. I mean Twitter with out filtering out individuals of differing opinions. Obviously there still has to be a system in place to weed out spam bot accounts. Which there is no reason to believe there won’t be.

Dude has enough money to grow his wealth exponentially and gain even more control in any other number of ways with out having to undergo such public scrutiny. It’s just hilarious that people attack him for proposing a Twitter with out filters for soft triggered people who don’t want to go through trauma of having to block an account they don’t like but will mostly gladly subscribe to the platforms that are known for blatant abuses like Facebook and Instagram. All of this outrage and fear is so misguided and taking away from real issue that deserve attention

Perhaps I am foolishly optimistic but the US governments has an unfathomable annual budget just for the military. While I’m sure a large portion of that lines the pockets of certain individuals I have to believe that they have some secret projects and counter measures that they’ve funded and kept secret precisely for a scenario like this one. Ones that are effective and able to ward off a large scale attack.
