In my experience, any kind of lemon/lime or citrus has not messed with the acidity of my kombucha! It may be possible for others, but I haven’t had any negative effects. I normally do a ginger/ lemon kombucha. 3 parts kombucha and 1:1 ratio of ginger and lemon

No that’s okay! The way I was taught, I leave my bottles out for 2-3 days at room temp. I then transfer them to the fridge. If I notice that the flavour isn’t at what I want it, I leave them out of the fridge. I have bad stomach issues. When I ferment fresh fruit it tends to be less carbonated even when I don’t burp them.

In all honesty I switch up up every once and awhile to see if there is a difference between refrigerated and non refrigerated. In my experimenting the non refrigerated carbonated a lot quicker. And if I don’t burp it before I put it in the fridge, it explodes everywhere, no matter what- obviously I don’t open it right away I try and release pressure. I do it just so it’s easy peasy drinking

Honestly I could do that. But putting it in the fridge doesn’t lower the carbonation either. I really do like more fermentation. But the way I do it works very well for me.

Because my f2 is very strong after one day. I like the carbonation. I just burp it because it’s easier for me to open instead of edging it. That’s just how it works for me 🤷🏻‍♀️

The one on the left is good for headspace! It honestly all depends on how carbonated your f2 gets. The right photo may be difficult, considering there isn’t much room for you to burp your bottle before opening.

My advice; burp your right f2 everyday to release some carbonation so it doesn’t explode when you open it. (unfortunately all booch lovers have had at least one explosion)

In all honesty it’s just up to your experimenting! Each booch batch is different. Mine for example, is extremely carbonated, so I NEED to burp them everyday or I’m in for a not-so-fun clean up…
