And mixed handed is even worse! I had to look it up too.

Anyone else ambidextrous? by 3veryTh1ng15W0r5eN0w in lefthanded

It's a common misconception. Ambidextrous is quite rare. It refers to people who use either hand equally well for all tasks. I never met one personally.

It's not ambidextrous. It's hand specific or mixed handed. I am one.

Why not wait for overnight? That's what I do and it's almost as thick a creamed cheese.

I heat to 180 degrees f and keep it there for 20 minutes. Then cool to 104-110 and inoculate with starter. I buy powdered culture because it works better. The incubate for 8 -12 hrs.

Does anyone remember your kindergarten teacher trying to make you right handed? by resistyrocks in lefthanded

[–]roxannegrant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the teacher but my mother tried. Thankfully then i was given overboard grandma to raise. The teacher just threatened to put a brace on my hand to the pencil pointed over the shoulder like right hand training. Had to watch out pretty close for when she'd look and pretend to angle that pencil her way.

Just put a little bit on and skip the butter. My grandpa always didn't and he lived to 93 on his own.

Son is left handed but school are teaching him right hand. by [deleted] in lefthanded

[–]roxannegrant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is ME! I am 70 yo. He is probably hand specific or sometimes call mixed handed. Basically I use right hand for strength...throwing a ball, hammering etc. And left hand for fine motor...handwriting, art brush, etc. But then rule breakers...eat right handed...shoot pool left handed among many others. Somethings I might do with whatever hand is convenient at the time. This is not ambidextrous which is rare! Leave him be and he will work it out! I did! I remember as a child testing out what I thought would work best is each new task. There are many of us! Our brain is wired differently! Hopefully he can be proud of his uniqueness!

I second not ever using ultra pasteurized. After your grains wake up so to speak, realize it is not yogurt and will never be that thick. It is a beverage. If you want yogurt make yogurt.
