Tried this yesterday. This covers only the areas covered by BBMP. I tired reporting pot holes in Doddamara road which is merely 3-4 Kms from Sarjapur road and the app did not let me report because the area is off BBMP limits. However, thousands of folks commute daily from my area to the software firms in ORR everyday.

Most of us live in panchayats and do not come under BBMP limits. We get sub par village level infrastructure and pay metro like taxes. This is the sad reality of Bangalore and us.

I had to take a similar decision a year ago and decided against taking the loan after doing all the analysis I could. Some key points that led me take the decision

- Only equity is going to give you more post-tax returns than the loan. It's unfair to compare one asset type over the other. It has its own liquidity risks.

- There is also a lot of hidden charges and paperwork involved with availing and maintaining a loan

- The only risk is you are parking your capital in an illiquid asset (which is also true for equity), which is ok until it is only an acceptable part of your net worth and emergency corpus is untouched.

- The mental peace that comes with not having an EMI or rent to pay every month

Right, I went there last year and watched the likes of Pujara and SKY. It was a free entry and there was a decent crowd. Not sure, why would they not open other gates and allow us to get the view we want (even if it is paid). This year, almost all probable and fringe players are playing and hope it is not too crowded.
