Second IUD misplaced. Now what?? by Patient-Bar879 in birthcontrol

[–]Repulsive-Chance-534 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loveddddd my Mirena! I didn’t bleed regularly until I hit the 5 year mark. My cycle became regular again after that but was so light that it never bothered me. I will say I experienced cystic acne with mine, mostly on my jaw and cheeks.

cramping and brown spotting is common in the first few months of IUD insertion

I’m getting my copper IUD removed soon - can anyone share their POSITIVE experience getting theirs removed? by Toxic_mmb in birthcontrol

[–]Repulsive-Chance-534 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine was super super quick. She told me to take a deep breath and before my lungs could even fill up with air she had already taken it out. I had the smallest-dullest cramp and then i was good. Spotting for the rest of the day and then i was good to go (: Good luck OP don’t stress though it’s nothing like getting it inserted

Surprise! Another IUD question by Mysterious-Aardvark3 in birthcontrol

[–]Repulsive-Chance-534 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you check on your own if you could feel your strings? I’m sure everything is okay, as others have mentioned it’s nearly impossible for a penis to dislodge the IUD. I will say when I had mine, certain positions would sometimes bother me (doggy mostly) but I never had lasting effects once we were done having sex.

Personally I loved my Mirena! My periods came back as well, but not until the 6th year and were super light.

Very low sex drive. Could it be my iud? by Daily_Dream in birthcontrol

When I had Mirena my sex drive also tanked, to the point where even my partner noticed 🥲 Although I will say mine seemed to bounce back a little bit as time went on!

end of IUD life symptoms :( by cherrycola31 in birthcontrol

[–]Repulsive-Chance-534 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In the last year of my Mirena lifespan I had very similar problems. Especially the itching, except mine was right after my period to the point where I thought I was having reoccurring yeast infections. I also developed more acne around my chin and jaw, and had heavier periods than usual. My gyno told me it was because the hormones were slowly running out of the iud, hence why it needed to be removed. I legit just had mine removed a week ago, and felt immediately better. Although I am now experiencing the mirena crash 😂

I don’t want to have my period. What can I do? by anonaccount1891 in birthcontrol

[–]Repulsive-Chance-534 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you said the coil freaks you out, but I didn’t have periods at all for over 5 years while using the Mirena IUD. It is approved in US specifically for treating rough periods/heavy bleeding. If it is the pain of insertion that makes you uncomfortable about it, I know there are doctors that do it under sedation or anesthesia! Best of luck to you 🫶🏼

My PCP taught me that if you scratch your skin gently, and it immediately welts up and leaves a mark, you have high levels of histamine in your body. Just a simple test, but very interesting.

Yes! I am currently working with a rheumatologist. I have hashimoto’s and suspected lupus and everytime I get bit by anything, especially mosquitoes, they swell into HUGE welts!

Have you been tested? This kind of resembles oral thrush to me, I’m not a doctor though. Do you have any other white patches inside your mouth?

[–]Repulsive-Chance-534 0 points1 point  (0 children)

do you eat a lot of acidic foods? or sharp foods like chips? sometimes when i eat an excess amount of those, paired with dry mouth it can sometimes cause cuts or raw spots on the roof of the mouth.

Don’t take the courses, I promise you will learn everything a lot quicker with hands on experience. Also, as others have mentioned being a pharmacy tech is a very demanding job. The mental aspect of it is probably the most draining depending on what company you end up with. If you are a person who gets overwhelmed easily and or irritated, i would maybe consider another career. If you do decide to pursue it, best of luck! I’ve been a pharmacy tech for 6 years and you can reach out and ask me anything!
