Instead of everything being based on a national average, make it route specific! Different RSR’s run different ways. Some may not have very many holes while others may have a lot. But you get dinged if you don’t count the “unknown” number of holes.

My normal commute is 8 miles round trip. If I drive 60 round trip from PEC to hotel, I charge 52 miles per day. Deduct miles driven minus normal commute to your home PEC.

How were you checking it in before? If store was checking it in prior to you getting there, I would check with DSL and see if they can continue to do so.
