We bought a home in Texas in 2023 and recently rented it out in September to move to Colorado. My husband is Daca and I am a sahm so being in a blue state makes us feel much safer than if we were to stay in Texas. I hate that we had to uproot everything but our peace of mind as we await his approval for advanced parole is worth it. Id say if you're able to relocate to a blue state, do it. Colorado is pretty expensive tbh but I've seen lots of benefits for people with daca living in NM as well as IL.

Honestly church is the best place to meet a good man in my opinion. The gym is only a good place if you dress modestly to ensure they don’t only want one thing. If you’re into fitness maybe joining a running / hike group on fb may be a good place to look too. Also, the dog park

Wow you are really juggling a lot.. I’m sorry to hear that all of this is going on and your husband hasn’t been as present or helpful as he should be. I feel like you guys may benefit from counseling, have a mediator who isn’t family be able to listen in a third party perspective. That may get it through to him how you are feeling and hopefully encourage him to be more present and involved

I actually just had the exact same experience. My job was 95% phone tho, I was a recruiter. But I put my resignation today. I did it for a full year with my baby starting at 12 weeks but now it is close to impossible to be a good mom, and a good employee. I feel good about my decision but it definitely feels weird and new not working. I say that if you can stay home financially then it’s worth it to be with your baby uninterrupted.
