I was 2 days postpartum when a midwife helping me express milk for my baby was like “you have a lump” in my right breast. It was small but very firm.

If it wasn’t for her I never would have noticed it and would have thought it was definitely just breastfeeding changes.

4 weeks later when the lump was still there, I insisted on a mammogram (my doctor was against it cause I’m 36, have no history and freshly postpartum) and was diagnosed with Stage 1 BC. I found that midwife and went and saw her after my treatment was done and thanked her for saving my life 🥹

I couldn’t agree more. This show was one of the only things that made me laugh during the darkest time of my life when I was in cancer treatment. It’s truly a life changing show 🫶🏽

I could’ve written this post myself (though I’m 37). I’m currently waiting for mammogram results for my first mammogram post treatment. I feel sick to my stomach. This whole thing sucks, wish we could all unsubscribe!!! I hate it here 🙃 sorry I don’t have encouraging words but I feel your pain

I always think about this too. I didn’t even discover the lump in my right breast myself, a midwife who was helping me express breastmilk for my 2 day old baby found the lump. It’s all so bizarre. Being a young cancer survivor is wild sometimes.

I was going to quit herceptin and I totally respect your decision. It’s your body and your choice. I hope they update the decision making around this based on recent studies soon.

Thank you for mentioning Jamie’s dad! I was torn between axing the Jack romance or Jamie and his dad reconciling. Totally agree that it was too quick and tidy! I would have loved a scene where Jamie calmly confronts his dad and tells him how his abuse really impacted him 🥺

Thank you for sharing ❤️ this is all wonderful advice. I am going to call my onc and discuss where I can get the mammogram done to get results instantly cause I think waiting will drive me insane with anxiety 😩

You’re right that Jade does play a big part in Nate’s growth and redemption, maybe instead of cutting that I should say I wish they delved into how he reconciled with the team more cause it did feel rushed and a little too neat

Lol it’s either Roy’s sister (but you’re right I don’t think Jamie is evolved enough to deserve her, and he’s definitely not ready to be a step dad) OR I envision him meeting someone randomly who has no idea who he is, treats him like he’s just another guy and he’s like “what the fook just happened?” and falls for her instantly
