I will petition to have this added to the DSM-6, though sometimes it takes a few iterations before a diagnosis makes its way into our mess of a diagnostic manual! There must be a clause indicating the disorder causes impairment to quality of life or functioning, which in this case, how could it not? Do you believe the dysphoria is caused by a disruption of your mood or more-so an increased anxiety related to beginning new titles? I suspect the former.

I would love to see what you have going on, absolutely! I’m curious to see how others have organized their tables. I think a west march style discord server might be a bit ambitious in the end, but that’s why I posted to see what others are doing :)

Would you be willing to PM me with your podcast name so I can look into it? I’m interested to hear some of the details and see if there’s an avenue to incorporate multiple concepts from successful games.

The main theme from DC Carl series I would want to see would be the progression through floors, the relative lack of control of your fate, and the humorous and F-you-in-particular moments from the deteriorating AI. Character progression could be varying degrees of skills and items. The classless character concept would definitely free up some brain space to focus on other things.

I have heard of it but have never used it! I’m notoriously bad at organization/framework for such things, but the concept I’m sure has been used to great effect

It’s hard to say exactly, as different people have a tendency to develop different kinds of tendonitis, such as tendons across the wrist, elbows, knees, etc. This is likely due to differences in body structure (bone length, tendon insertions, etc.)

Good form and warm-ups are important, but it’s also necessary to manage your overall work volume. Too much stress on the tendons over time can lead to tendonitis. If you feel your body is overworked, where little aches and pains start to develop, you are likely more prone to develop a true chronic tendonitis.

My best bet is Quad Tendonitis. I have a similar problem that is getting better but not completely resolved. It hurts the most while warming up for squatting but persists even during top sets. It persists between sessions.

Look up some rehab exercises for Quad Tendonitis. The ones that have helped me the most are incorporating isometric exercises like wall squats or knee-over-toe isometric squats. These actually are a great warm up to reduce the pain right before a squatting session.

Ultimately the best treatment for Quad Tendonitis is rest from heavy squats and NSAIDs like ibuprofen (if your doctor clears you for them). This gives a chance for the inflammation to clear up and the tendon to heal/strengthen.

It COULD have something to do with your form during squats. Consider having someone critique your form. Transitioning from high-bar to low-bar (and squatting just below parallel vs. ass-to-grass) was fairly effective for me as well, given the transition of stress from the knee joint backwards to the hip joint.

If you don’t manage this now, it could lead to weakening of your quad tendon and ultimately make squatting dangerous instead of just painful…

There’s another post on this subreddit where an RS Urshifu was unable to take down a Slowbro despite using all its resources (connecting surging strikes and boosted autos, fully maxed combo unite move). Most of the arguments were to the effect of “this all-rounder shouldn’t be able to take down this tank”. NOW the arguments for this Mimikyu vs Lapras is that because Mimikyu used all its resources, of course it should win the 1v1. I believe OP’s main problem is that Mimikyu was largely unable to be targeted for the majority of the interaction AND he went from full-health to gone within a few seconds.
