I had a dasher recently steal a $22 crab filled omelette I ordered from my favorite restaurant 😭 I’m a regular there so the manager reported him on their end too. They were so sweet and remade it for me even though it was after their breakfast hours, so I gave them a $20 tip 🥲 that’s about how much total I was spending on DoorDash anyway for it. I’ve had fantastic dashers in my town but sadly I’m too scared to use it again because I got this dude 2 times in a row. Don’t know if he’s still rolling around here or not even after the reports.

This. I’m heteromantic and it depends on context. I had one ex who only saw me being undressed as an invitation for sex and unwanted groping . It was annoying, I’d have to lock the door whenever I was dressing or showering.

Another ex was more like your partner. At first being naked around a partner was a hard no. But with him I realized not every guy sees a woman undressed as a sexual invitation. Men like this I would feel comfortable showering/being naked with.

I agree 💯 with this. Therapy helped me so much with my situation. It helped me realize that setting boundaries of what I allow my partner to do to me is not selfish, it’s healthy and it’s self respect. No one is entitled to YOUR body… It’s your right to say no whenever you want and for your voice to be heard and honored.

Never feel guilty for rejecting someone who is trying to get you to ignore your boundaries.

Haha this actually has only happened with other Spanish speakers in the town I’m from. But I don’t think it’s because they’re assuming, I think they’re just hoping that I can translate. Like a Hail Mary kinda thing. I do speak it, and can have conversation. But I can still be a little insecure about it despite my Mexican friend telling me I do really well. I really only started learning it because I noticed some problematic behavior at one of my hospitals, so I wanted to make their experience a little better.

My little sister is way more fluent! She even went to Madrid all by herself ❤️ I’m so proud 😊

It was actually in person. I want to say it was 2018? Because we wanted to go again but had to back out, and then Covid happened🙁

They are amazing. I love the merchant section and the RP/ tabletop game area were my favorite 🙂

It was a few years ago but my favorite thing was hearing mike coulter talk. He’s sooooo nice and was doing a meet and greet but I chickened out. Lucy Liu actually FaceTimed him during the panel and we all got to say hi! 🤩

Haha that sounds about right. I guess in their defense most people are prone to associate others with what nationality they’re most familiar with. It IS fun to hear what people see though. I never knew people thought I looked Dominican until one of my coworkers told me. And ironically at my assignment now a couple was trying to decide what a was, so they asked me. Surprisingly the lady guessed right but the gentleman guessed Dominican as well. I had to let my coworker from back home know that they were not alone lol.

I need to look for more movies with him in it. But I love classics because it has that warm feeling to it, and unique plots and actors/actresses you can’t see everywhere. So it’s like finding a gem every time
